System description –
System involved design & manufacture of an unmanned
inspection vehicle operating in environment having temperature
of 150 deg celcius.
Vehicles is expected to move on four wheels which can be rotated
with help of stepper motors for deciding direction. Vehicle
movement is done by servo motor.
Vehicle carries various inspection devices like ultrasonic sensors,
cameras with zoom & focus control & instrumentation like load
cells, LVDTs, RTDs.
All inspeciton devices reside in 150 deg celcius temperature
environment & hence cooled with help of a separate cooling
system.
An integrated control system environment controls all vehicle
operations.

 Selection of high temperature inspection devices, sensors,
motors, cables, etc.
2. Pick & place system for chocolate bar with Alan Bradley
control system
System description –
Objective is to pick up 30 nos. chocolate bars at a time at the
rate of 500 bars per minute. Bars are picked from customer’s
product conveyor & are released on conveyor which is used for
delivering bars to flow wrapping machine.
Machine has one ball screw slide for travel from one conveyor to
another & pneumatic cylinder for verticle movement of picker.
Electrical/electronic system consists of a Mocrologix 1400 PLC &
PV component HMI, Ultra 3000i servo drive & MPL-B-320 servo
motor for indexing of a picker with ball screw slide.
