Personal Development – Module 2

1. Evaluate own thoughts,
feelings and behaviors.
2. Show the connection of their
thoughts, feelings and actions
to actual life situations
What do you mean?
1. What comes into your mind when
you hear someone saying “sana
all”?
2. Do you say such phrase too? In
what situations do you usually utter
such phrase?
3. What makes you think of that?
Personal Development
❖Refers to those activities that improve a
person’s talents, potential, employability,
consciousness and ability to realize
dreams and create wealth.
❖In short, It’s what you do to improve
yourself and your prospects in life.
5 ASPECTS OF PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
❖Physical
❖Mental
❖Emotional
❖Social
❖Spiritual
PHYSICAL ASPECT
❖Our body is the most important aspect as it
binds all other factors.
❖As it is said, “A healthy body is a healthy mind” and
“health is wealth”. This is basic for success.
❖The physical concern of a person is simply referred
as concern on a tangible aspect of self-
development.
MENTAL ASPECT
❖Learning is something that is a lifelong endeavor.
❖Studies show that continuing to exercise your brain is a great way to
improve cognitive abilities and maintain mental health into an old age
(including preventing and memory loss)
❖It is important that we continue to use our brains to learn new things
and challenge ourselves, especially as we get older.
❖Education makes you a better and more well-rounded person overall,
and it’s an essential component to all self- improvement.
❖Our intellectual ability helps us resolve even a difficult problem at
immediate improve our reasoning that will lighten our future.
EMOTIONAL ASPECT
❖Emotional or Psychological refers how thinking,
feeling and behaving interact and happen in a
person.
❖Its important that we continue to use our brains to
learn new things and challenge ourselves, especially
as we get older.
❖Stress management is essential for mental health
and emotional intelligence.
SOCIAL ASPECT
❖Healthy relationships plays an important role
to happiness and well-being. “No one is an
island” means that we need people to be part of
our personality development. We have to
develop rapport with family, neighbors, friends
and others so we can have satisfaction in our
dealings with them.
SPIRITUAL ASPECT
❖Refer to this area as religion. But, it is not
simply means that the way but rather this
means your real purpose of life. It includes
conscientiousness means likely to be
organized, systematic, careful, thorough,
responsible, self- disciplined, and
achievement oriented.
ACTIVITY NO.1:
❖Try to assess your aspects of
development.
❖Please be honest in giving your answer/s
in each of the aspect as it may interfere
with your output.
❖Select your answer from the set given.
Physical, Mental,
Emotional, Spiritual,
Social, Interactional
1. Do you have traits/ features similar or not similar with your siblings? How do you
react with this especially when people tend to compare you with them?
2. What is your cognitive skills? How did you acquire or master each cognitive skill?
3. What are the effects of cooperative learning structures?
4. Where do you excel? How do you use this strength in learning?
5. How do you deal with your competitor? Describe your relationship with your
family.
6. What are the effects of your eating habits and food preferences?
7. How do you react with your changing environment, a changing socio-cultural
experience?
8. How do you show your spiritual strengths?

  • 4. Personal Development ❖Refers to those activities that improve a person’s talents, potential, employability, consciousness and ability to realize dreams and create wealth. ❖In short, It’s what you do to improve yourself and your prospects in life.
  • 5. 5 ASPECTS OF PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT ❖Physical ❖Mental ❖Emotional ❖Social ❖Spiritual
  • 6. PHYSICAL ASPECT ❖Our body is the most important aspect as it binds all other factors. ❖As it is said, “A healthy body is a healthy mind” and “health is wealth”. This is basic for success. ❖The physical concern of a person is simply referred as concern on a tangible aspect of self- development.
  • 7. MENTAL ASPECT ❖Learning is something that is a lifelong endeavor. ❖Studies show that continuing to exercise your brain is a great way to improve cognitive abilities and maintain mental health into an old age (including preventing and memory loss) ❖It is important that we continue to use our brains to learn new things and challenge ourselves, especially as we get older. ❖Education makes you a better and more well-rounded person overall, and it’s an essential component to all self- improvement. ❖Our intellectual ability helps us resolve even a difficult problem at immediate improve our reasoning that will lighten our future.

EMOTIONAL ASPECT ❖Emotional or Psychological refers how thinking, feeling and behaving interact and happen in a person. ❖Its important that we continue to use our brains to learn new things and challenge ourselves, especially as we get older. ❖Stress management is essential for mental health and emotional intelligence.
  • 9. SOCIAL ASPECT ❖Healthy relationships plays an important role to happiness and well-being. “No one is an island” means that we need people to be part of our personality development. We have to develop rapport with family, neighbors, friends and others so we can have satisfaction in our dealings with them.
  • 10. SPIRITUAL ASPECT ❖Refer to this area as religion. But, it is not simply means that the way but rather this means your real purpose of life. It includes conscientiousness means likely to be organized, systematic, careful, thorough, responsible, self- disciplined, and achievement oriented.
  • 11. ACTIVITY NO.1: ❖Try to assess your aspects of development. ❖Please be honest in giving your answer/s in each of the aspect as it may interfere with your output. ❖Select your answer from the set given.
