Design Architect, held tasks and responsibilities that range between preliminary design phase throughout the
production of Tender and Construction Drawings.
PROJECTS EXPERIENCE:
SHAMIYAH HARAM EXPANSION, Holy Mecca, KSA
As the number of visitors of the Haram is increasing tremendously especially during the seasons of Al Hajj and
Ramadan, the idea of the Haram extension from Al Shamiyah side emerged so importantly within a global vision
towards an ultimate solution. The project comprises The Third Saudi Extension Building with 3 praying floors and
roofs, in addition to the basement level which accommodates public toilets, ablutions along with the respective
electromechanical services. The Project also includes increasing the outdoor Piazzas and open praying areas.
Bridges will be connecting the existing Haram to the Third Saudi Extension (which will be managed by TEAM 1) and
leading to the service building and terraces (which will be managed by TEAM 2) within a diameter of 660 meters
from Kaaba.
Components: Part 1: The Third Saudi Extension Building, Piazzas & Bridges.
Part 2: The Service Building. (Piazza terraces and Administrative buildings).
Design and supervision of construction for an extension to the Makkah Holy Haram to accommodate additional
800,000 worshipers, comprising a new building of 4 praying levels with a capacity of 300,000 worshipers, connected
at its ground, first and roof floors to the First Saudi Extension of Makkah Haram, and includes a basement level for
electromechanical services; state-of-the-art technology in natural and artificial climate and lighting controls;
security, crowd management, and sound distribution and control systems; structural health monitoring sensors;
cleaning equipment; interactive signage; and high end interior finishing works.
The project provides internal courtyards covered with 12 operable skylights, 6 fixed ones, 4 fixed domes of 18 m
diameter each, and one 36 m diameter sliding dome above the 24 m wide/26 m high ceremonial spine connecting
the north and south piazzas through a 59 m wide main gate at the north end flanked by 2 new minarets (135 m high
each) on its left and right sides and a 30 m wide gate at the south end.
The project also comprises 189,700 m² external praying piazzas accommodating 310,000 worshipers with
2,800 toilet cubicles and 1,250 ablution points beneath them; a service building of 6 overlapped radial steps
accommodating 8,750 toilets, 2,450 ablution points, 2 helipads, service facilities, authorities’ offices and a
110,000 m² praying area at its roof level for 152,000 worshipers; several bridges (total of 57,000 m²) linking the new
building to the service building and to the existing Holy Haram; a service road below the external piazzas and
dedicated service culverts carrying all infrastructure utility networks.

Due to the growing increase in the number of visitors and worshipers who’s are coming from all over the world to
Medina and the Prophet 's Mosque has emerged the need to study the insurance increase capacity of the building
of the Prophet 's Mosque and the surrounding squares service to meet these increasing numbers to this Islamic holy
spot
Basics Concept
- Adopted the idea of design to create a building for the expansion of the north and the east and west , leaving

- The architectural character of the existing building in the new design in a manner commensurate with the size and
new spaces where they are to maintain the existing heritage building for the expansion of Saudi Arabia the first and
second of the mosque and simulation of contemporary architectural language .

The Project known as University of Dubai is situated on a site of 273,387m2 in the Academic City.
The site utilization is 65%; the Project’s site area is around 177,700 m2.The university is to be developed in 3 phases
with phase 1 to start with. The Ultimate phase consists of 9 University buildings:
- General Administration
- College of Law
- College of Business
- College of Information Technology
- School of Management
- School of General Education
- Health and Fitness
- Community Zone
- Shared Resources Zone
Phase 1 consists of 3 buildings:
- General Administration building: 7968.66m2
- College of Information Technology: 5,873.74m2
- College of Business: 5,779.97m2
Phase 1 Total BUA is 20,650 m2
The Pointe at Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, UAE
The project is a mixed use complex with retail, food and beverage.
The Jumeirah Pointe project has been conceived as an exciting and vibrant terminus to the overall residential spine
of the Palm. This honorific place, which is directly opposite and across the bay from the landmark Atlantis Hotel, will
feature a destination type, linear complex featuring casual dining venues of Cafés, coffee shops and specialty
restaurants.
The architecture will cater to a relaxed quayside ambiance, where the restaurant’s lower and upper terraces and
balconies will adjoin interior spaces, thus allowing innovative seating and uncompromised views of the waterfront’s
many features and amenities.
The sinuously curving facades of these venues will parallel the water and its landscaped terraces. Casual strolling
and various leisure activities are planned for this quay side location, including the viewing of the “Dancing waters”
computerized fountains which can be viewed from the convenient arena seating nestled into the shoreline.

It is envisioned that the central complex, with its restaurants arrayed around the twin palm courtyards, will also
contain a new station for the monorail, thus connecting the Palm’s residents and visitors as well as the Atlantis hotel
directly to this exciting destination. In addition to the monorail, the central area will also have a convenient wharf
where boats will shuttle visitor to and from the Atlantis Hotel.
The site total area is 136,000 sqm where approximately 15% of building footprint (21,000 sqm) will provide ample
area for promenades (40,500 sqm), piazzas (11,000 sqm) and landscaping (17,000 sqm).
The two floor retail of 38,000 sqm will accommodate restaurants (28,500 sqm) and shops (9,500 sqm) in carefully
selected areas with the mixture of indoor and outdoor terraces and arcades to enhance the experience of dining
and shopping while enjoying the spectacular waterfront.
The site also provides a convenient parking area of 40,500 sqm serving approximately 1260 cars. In addition, a 1,000
sqm monorail station will facilitate any additional transportation required to and from the site.
West Bay Downtown Urban Plaza, Doha, Qatar
The Project development has a plot area of 20,252 m2 and is situated in Al-Dafna area next to Doha bank & Doha
Cornish Road.
The Project innovative modern design will form and create a modern and ambitious community in an eco-friendly
sustainable environment.
The Project comprises of the following components:
- Multi-level Underground Parking.
- Mosque with Sculptured Iconic Minaret.
- Landscaped Open Urban Plaza.
- Cafés.
- Business Center.
- Boutique Shops.
- Other Services and Facilities.
The concept focuses on creating building forms that emerge from the ground and blend in with the plaza, creating
an interactive contemporary hub for the daily users in the vibrant area of downtown Doha. The mosque, which is
the main focus on site, is designed to be a unique and iconic building. A meditation lake is created around the
mosque to maintain the serene and peaceful mood around it.
As you approach the site from the main road, a platform will be present at the main entrance to the central plaza
where local artists can display continuously changing sculptural elements, this platform encourages cultural and arts
engagement of locals and maintain the intangible culture of the place. The central plaza is more interactive and
busy, as it is surrounded by the cafes, restaurants and business center. The central plaza includes a small
amphitheater which could be used for cultural events and arts exhibition.
The architecture of the cafes and business center is based on the concept of green walkable roofs emerging from
the plaza to create one uniform and engaging space for the users.
KING ABDULLAH UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOG, JEDDAH, KSA
King Saud University for Health Sciences - Design, Saudi Arabia. Detailed design (according to LEED requirements-5
registrations) and tender documents for one main university campus in Riyadh, and two university branches in
Jeddah and Hasa in addition to the design review and approval of Madinah university branch. Each of the four sites
comprises world class educational, support and administrative buildings dedicated to health sciences in addition to
all required services, and housing, praying, recreational and sports facilities. Total built-up area: 1,250,000 m².
Riyadh campus includes a Central Colleges Complex housing the colleges of medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy,
applied medical sciences, and the deanships of higher studies and continuing education; the Clinical Skills
Development Centre; King Abdullah Biomedical Research Centre; King Abdullah Pediatric Specialist Hospital; and a
main mosque for over 1,000 worshipers. Riyadh campus’ buildings are interconnected by steel pedestrian bridges.

Princess Nora Bint Abdulrahman University (PNBAU) - Building Works, Saudi Arabia. Detailed design (according to
LEED requirements-12 registrations), tender documents, and supervision of construction for all buildings,
infrastructure utilities, landscaped areas and internal road networks related to an educational complex with a total
built-up area of 2.8 million m², including 8 academic colleges, 6 health sciences colleges, 2 medical research
laboratories, 600-bed hospital, central library, administration building, ceremonial piazza, housing units for 11,000
single students, 400 villas for senior staff housing, 1,400 apartments for junior staff housing, sports facilities, 2
stadiums for 12,000 students and 10,000 visitors, mosques and central utility plants.
Princess Nora Bint Abdulrahman University (PNBAU) - Automated People Mover
Princess Nora Bint Abdulrahman University (PNBAU) - Automated People Mover, Saudi Arabia. Master plan,
geotechnical investigations, design, tender documents, and construction drawings for an 11.85 km dual-track
elevated APM system, with 14 air-conditioned stations, 2 bus terminals, 3 pedestrian bridges, drainage system and a
complete maintenance and storage facility. The fully automated system operates along 4 overlapping routes and
achieves full coverage for the university’s housing, academic and administrative facilities.

General Security Buildings for the Ministry of Interior - Emergency Call and Operation (ECO) Centre, Saudi Arabia.
Master plan, design and tender documents for a prototype centre to be used in all major cities of the Kingdom,
composed of a main operations building, 2 dormitory buildings, one service/offices building, and one central
electromechanical services building. The main operations building consists of 2 basement floors and one ground
floor and is divided into 2 main zones namely, the first zone which contains the major operations room located at
the basement levels with sophisticated systems and equipments, and the second zone which includes all
administrative functions and services.
