2. Tip 1 Choose your partner wisely...think about what they have to offer and what skills they can bring that you don’t have. (Jamie is really good at saving and budgeting money!)
3. Tip 2 Send a letter home to let your parents know you are okay. This way they will know you weren’t kidnapped. (You don’t want the FBI on your case!)
4. Tip 3 Make sure you can your escape can fit into your daily routine. (We got on the school bus then hid out on the back. I knew Herbert wouldn’t notice us!)
5. Tip 4 Search for clues around your house that could help your escape. (Emptying the trash led me to dad’s train pass!)
6. Tip 5 Run away to a place where you can blend in. (There are always school kids on field trips to museums!)
7. Tip 6 Watch for new sources of income. (The money in the fountain was a great discovery!)
8. Tip 7 Allow extra time when hiding. It will get uncomfortable but it will be worth it when you don’t get caught! (We had a close call when they moved Angel!)
9. Tip 8 Keep your plan a secret from everybody who is not involved! Even if they promise not to tell, it will happen.
10. Tip 9 Have a back up plan incase your escape doesn’t work. (We had our backpacks and instrument cases so we could continue on to school if we were spotted!)
11. Tip 10 Find a place to store your bags during the day. You will look suspicious carrying them around.
