2. What is the ASEC? It’s the first and only social enterprise competition exclusively for University students in Africa. The purpose of the ASEC is to identify students with the most entrepreneurial potential and empower them to launch their business with access to financing and entrepreneurial consulting.

3. Why Participate? Compete for cash prizes and access to formal funding organizations (VCs, Banks, Investors, etc.) Learn how to write a business plan, win funding and launch your business Receive 1 one 1 coaching from experienced professionals in the Netherlands Get critical feedback and guidance on your business plan from experienced investment professionals and successful entrepreneurs

4. What exactly is a Social Enterprise? The main aim of a social enterprise is to further its social or environmental goals in a financially sustainable manner. This need not be incompatible with making a profit, but often incorporate a “triple bottom line” (financial, environmental and social).
