WHAT PEOPLE
ANALYTICS CAN’T
CAPTURE..
Created by Aditya Shekhar as a
part of Data Analysis internship
under Prof. Mathur
In the statistics world, nothing is certain but can only be
predicted. In a data analysis, there will be random
correlation that might look significant but are actually
noise and not signal. Also big data needs hard outcome
metric for performance, but the most readily available
metrics may not be the most important variables
flourishing.
The received data is sometimes is uncertain
and assumptions are made on its basis. But
they say that the strongest predictor of a
person’s behavior is from their past
performance. This stands true in case of
data analytics as well. The previous data
related to a company or a business can be
considered for future prediction.
MANAGERIAL INSIGHTS
Managers should know the real importance of
data. It actually does not tell outcome but
predictions to a large extent can be done. And
through that prediction, optimistic actions can be
performed. Past data can obviously help make
decisions in future.
This can be further employed to the employees to
analyze data in such manner that it is useful in
further steps taken by the company.

Also big data needs hard outcome metric for performance, but the most readily available metrics may not be the most important variables flourishing.
  • 5. The received data is sometimes is uncertain and assumptions are made on its basis. But they say that the strongest predictor of a person’s behavior is from their past performance. This stands true in case of data analytics as well. The previous data related to a company or a business can be considered for future prediction.

And through that prediction, optimistic actions can be performed. Past data can obviously help make decisions in future. This can be further employed to the employees to analyze data in such manner that it is useful in further steps taken by the company.
