2. What is BRITS School? The London School for Performing Arts & Technology (most commonly known as The BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology) is a British school located in Selhurst, Croydon, in London, England, with a mandate to provide education and vocational training for the performing arts, media, art and design and the technologies that make performance possible. Selective in its intake, the school is notable for its numerous alumni including Adele, Amy Winehouse, Jamie Woon, Jessie J, Leona Lewis, Katie Melua, The Kooks, Imogen Heap, The Midnight Beast, Katy B, and Rizzle Kicks. Established in 1991 under the CTC programme, the school is funded by the British Government, with substantial support from the British Record Industry Trust, and maintains an independent school status from the local education authority.

The school recognises that most of its students intend to make a career in the arts, entertainment and communications industries, but the school expects all to follow full time courses to completion. It has a professional theatre, The Obie Theatre, which can seat audiences of up to 700. There are also various dance studios, musical theatre studios and TV and radio studios. The school was founded in 1991 under the auspices of the City Technology Colleges (CTC) initiative with sponsorship from The British Record Industry Trust (BRIT). 7. Kathleen "Katie" Brien, better known as Katy B, (born 21 May 1989) is an English singer-songwriter and a graduate of the BRIT School. She is a dubstep, R&B, funky, house and UK garage singer and has also performed under the name Baby Katy. She was born in Peckham, South London. Having been offered "major label deals" in 2009, she released her first single with the label Rinse in 2010. The same year, she completed a degree in Popular Music at Goldsmiths, University of London. She has been nominated for the prestigious 2011 Mercury Prize. Geeneus, with whom Katy B collaborated, works for Rinse FM. Following the official recognition of the station in June 2010 (formerly a pirate radio station), Rinse presented Katy B's first single, "Katy On a Mission", which was produced by Benga and was released on 22 August 2010. The single reached number 5 on the UK Singles Chart and number 1 on the UK Indie Chart. DJ NG's song "Tell Me", on which she featured as Baby Katy, was released on a white label and later signed to Ministry of Sound. Katy B has collaborated with Geeneus to cover the Kevin Saunderson produced "Good Life“ and the track "As I". She also provides vocals on the track "Hold Me" for The Count & Sinden's debut album Mega Mega Mega and features on Magnetic Man's tracks "Perfect Stranger" and "Crossover".

Katy B performed at the London Jazz Festival in 2009 with Ms Dynamite, who also featured on Katy's second single, "Lights On" which was released in the UK on 19 December 2010, where it debuted at number 4 on the UK Singles Chart. Her third single "Broken Record" was released in March 2011, and peaked at number 8 in the UK. Her fourth single "Easy Please Me" was released on 3 June 2011. Her fifth single "Witches' Brew" was released on 28 August 2011. This Next single by Katy B is "Movement" will be coming at 2011. Katy's debut album On a Mission was released on 4 April 2011, and peaked at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart. Katy B supported Tinie Tempah on his tour during Spring of 2011. On 30 April 2011, Katy embarked on her debut concert tour right across Europe until September, where again in October she will tour the UK. In September 2011, it was announced Katy B and Mark Ronson would be teaming up to create an advert for the Coca Cola and the Olympics. It is not yet known the release date of this song.
12. Rizzle Kicks are an English hip-hop duo from Brighton, consisting of Jordan "Rizzle" Stephens (born 25 January, 1992) and Harley "Sylvester" Alexander-Sule (born 23 November, 1991). Their debut album, Stereo Typical , was released on October, 31, 2011. The pair first began making music together whilst attending Blatchington Mill school in Brighton, Sussex. Alexander-Sule sang over one of Stephens' tracks and both realised that their styles fitted together. At the time, Stephens was completing his mixtape, both were bickering over samples of some of their favourite artists when they officially became Rizzle Kicks.
