2005-2010 PhD Candidate, Muslim Comparative Religions, Department of Politics and
International Studies, University of Cambridge. Dissertation title: “Relating Civilities:
Familiarity with others in an Islamic University” (Making Amendments for resubmission)
2003-4 Masters in Philosophy in Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Social and Political
Science, University of Cambridge.
1999-2002 BSC (Hons) in Computer Science, Lahore University of Management Sciences,
Pakistan.
Employment:
March 2011 to the present, Researcher at the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue
(Qatar).
 Managing Editor, Journal Religions, involves overall editing responsibility for this
international, peer-reviewed, bi-annual, bi-lingual (Arabic and English), comparative religion
journal. Activities related to this publication and its circulation. This role includes
commissioning articles, artistic design and proof-reading. The journal themes published
under my overall supervision include Justice (2012), Ecological Responsibility (2013),
Knowledge and Science (2014), Family and Heritage (2014), Work Ethics (2015), and
Suffering (2015).
 Research coordinator for a three year (starting 2015), three country (UK, India and Qatar)
research study on "Assessing the Effectiveness of Interfaith Initiatives" in partnership with
Woolf Institute, Cambridge and Georgetown University funded by Qatar National Research
Fund.
 Event design and management of interfaith annual events held in Doha including local
roundtable for communities in Qatar; Qatari Law (2015), Work Ethics (2014), Media (2013)
and international conferences for interfaith activists and organizations with a prize of USD
100,000; Youth (2014), Best Interfaith Practices (2013) and Social Media (2012).
 Relationship management with interfaith partner organizations in UK, USA, Germany,
Indonesia, Ethiopia, Pakistan and at the Vatican.
 Conference Co-ordinator and overall report writing responsibility for 2014 Istanbul Process
meeting held in Doha for implementation of UNHRC Resolution 16/18 “Advancing
Religious Freedom”.
 Radio dialogue show host for Qatar Foundation English Radio with specialists in various
fields about their work and experiences in Qatar “Children of Adam and Eve” since 2013.
September 2006- January 2007, Visiting Lecturer at the Faculty of Theology of the
International Islamic University Islamabad (Pakistan).
 Teaching Masters level course on Sociology and Anthropology of Islam
 Guiding outside class students on the preparation of their research papers
September 2002- June 2003, Visiting Lecturer at the University College Islamabad (Pakistan),
