Sandal with vinyl upper featuring appliqué beads and Venetian glass bugle beads, arranged in a polka dot motif. The ankle strap and stiletto heel lining are in gold kidskin. The flexibility of vinyl resins and the way in which they could be printed, along with the variety of colors and their resistance to wear, led to their increasingly widespread use in shoes and accessories after the Second World War. They became a key raw material for heels, soles and woven uppers. Ferragamo often used vinilite, especially for his uppers, as in this style dating back from 1956.
