RedBull whowere supportingthe Aston

that has grabbedthe media’sattention.Many
have thoughtthat AstonMartin couldbe
workingwithRedBull inF1.
Hornerwas askedquestionregardingAston’s

to bringthe Astonbrand back intoFormula1
afterfifty-sixyearsIthinkitissince theywere

weekendisthe firsttime the Astonbrandhas
beeninvolvedinF1since 1960”.
AstonMartin whohave beena frontrunner
for sportscar are lookingforwardtoNewey’s

RedBull.
Concernsalongthe paddockfor RedBull as
Neweyhasbeenseentomove awayfromF1
and has focussedonother projectssuchas

squashedthose rumours: “He isfifty/fiftysplit
withhistime whichisworkingwell andit
keepshimengagedinFormula1for several

hopefullythatwill grow andflourish”.
The paddock haslookedforwardtothe

AstonMartin wouldbe a welcome
introductionintothe F1paddockas such a big
brand, theycouldattract some of those
disappearingfansthat are movingawayfrom
the sport afterthe TV deal withSkySports
leavingthe sportinlimbo.
Hornerand Red Bull have lookedtobuilda
sportscar inthe pastwiththeirpartnership
withInfiniti andwithAndyPalmeratthe helm

2. RedBull have takena risk inallowingAdrian
NeweytosplithiscommitmentswithF1and
developingasportscar. WithRed Bull
languishingbehindthe mightypowersof
MercedesandFerrari,it lookstome thatRed
Bull will be focusingonthe 2017 F1 season
withan overhaul inthe regulations,larger
tyres,lessaerodynamicsandhopefullya
change in enginescouldbringRedBull backto
the forefrontof F1.
Horneris pleasedwith the partnershipand
believesitcouldbe alongterm relationship
that couldput more Formula1 technology
intothe road cars thatyou and me couldbe
drivinginthe nextdecade.The benefitsof F1
technologyintoroadcars wouldbe great
because withanemphasise infuel efficiency
and engine recovery,these typesof
technologywouldbenefit carcompanies
greatly.
AstonMartin are a huge marketable brand
have joinedRedBull todeveloptheirbrand
and reachan audience thatAstonhave never
metbefore.AstonMartinwhoare seenas
staple of Britishcar manufacturinghave a
huge followingwhichwill drawfansinto
Formula1. It is alsoa great marketingstrategy
for RedBull whoare knownfortheir
advertisementsandpromotionsall roundthe
world.Theywill gaingreatpublicityfromtheir
partnershipandcapital investmentfrom
people whoare wantingtobe associatedwith
AstonMartin.
The F1 paddockisno strangerto rumours and
manyjournalistsandteambossesspeculate
that AstonMartin couldsupplyRedBull with
an engine inthe future,if theirpartnership
goesto plan. RedBull have had a torridtime
withenginesinrecentyearsandwithHorner
dismissingthe factthat RedBull supplying
theirownengines.
Horner’spositiononindependentengines:
‘It wouldhave tobe a differentspecification
engine because the problemwiththatisthen
youget intoequivalence.Ithinkthe ideal
scenarioisthat we finda solutionamongst
whatis alreadythere,ratherthangettinginto
equivalence becausethatisfraughtwith
difficulties.If itcannotbe achieved,then
there isno otheroption’.
The ideaof independentenginescouldmake
F1 very interestingandlimitthe powerof
engine manufacturesoverteamsusingtheir
enginese.g.Williams,Force India.
But Hornerhas statedthat usingAstonMartin
as an engine supplierisoutof the question
and the partnershipisfullyfocusedonthe
sportscar and developingagoodrelationship.
The partnershiplookslike anexcitingventure
intoa new channel of motoringforRed Bull.
AstonMartin are experienced atdeveloping
and engineeringhighperformance sportscar
and withthe brainpowerof AdrianNeweyit
looksto a partnershipthatcouldthrive to
betterthingsinthe future.
The boss off Red Bull has welcomedthe
partnershipandlookstobuildsteppingstones
for biggerandbetterprojectsthatmay lead
RedBull away fromF1 and towards new and
excitingprospectsthatcouldmove RedBull
racing closertothe general public.
RedBull whoare still fullyfocusedonthe
upcomingF1 seasonandlookto thrive on
youngtalentthatwouldtake the place of
AdrianNeweywholookstodistance himself
fromthe divisive worldof F1and move into
challengingventureswith AstonMartinwho
