4. As for our product,
we are very aware
about the pros and
cons of the current
staplers that are used
nowadays. Hence, we
gathered up and came
up with a solution to
invent our own
version of stapler.
Introduction
A stapler is a
mechanical device
that binds sheets of
paper or other
materials together
by driving a thin
metal staple through
the sheets and
folding the ends.
There are two types
of paper staplers:
manual and electric.
Hand-held staplers
are the most popular,
while variants that
can be used while
sitting on a desk or
other surface are
also common.
5.
6. The first documented stapler was constructed
for King Louis XV of France in the 18th century,
although George McGill's compact, flexible paper
fastener received the first stapler patent in 1866.
In 1879, McGill patented the first commercially
successful stapler. In 1901, the word "stapler" was
first used in an advertising in an American
magazine. William Pankonin devised and
patented the first known staple remover almost
70 years later, in March 1936. A staple remover
allows you to remove a staple quickly and
without harming it.

7. Because usually stapler users able to only staple on one
side or corner only and it might cause the edge of the
paper to tear, and the staples can come off easily.
It can staple the whole side of the paper like we can find
on books.
It is more secure and also the possibility for the paper to
tear apart is very little.

15. Discussion of (2) selected component for orthographic drawing
COMPONENT 1
17. Orthographic drawings allow us to more clearly understand
the objects that we are designing in Iso model.
We are able to see all of the object's details from different
angle.
Orthographic sketching remains a useful way to find an
object's dimension, shape, and specifications without having
to sketch freehand.
It allows for a more accurate portrayal than isometric
drawings
We were able to choose a stapler as the item for our
invention project in this assignment as staplers are also
highly beneficial to students like us.
