2. I made my school magazine front cover, using Adobe Photoshop CS6
I used the codes and conventions of a music magaizne front cover, as a guide for
making my school magazine front cover. I used a price on the front page, to make
it clear to the reader what the price was. I added a main coverline at the top left of
the page. This is to draw attention to the reader. I included coverlines, to show
what will be featured in the magazine. I placed them on the side of the page, to
frame the main image. I included a stapline to included more about the magazine.
I used a colour scheme of 3 colours, light dark purple and black. This is to give a
brand to my magazine. I used 3 different fonts.
3. i used new media techniques to construct my magazine front cover. I used
different tools within Adoble Photoshop, to make my magazine unique and look
more professional. I used the lasso tool within photoshop to go around my image,
and get rid of the background, to make the main image stand out more, and more
noticable. I also included a smaller image that is on the right of my front cover, to
anchor the article that will be included.
4. Strenghts of my school magazine
• I was easily able to create my school magazine on Photoshop, as i
have had experience with it before.
• I felt like it was easy to use the codes and conventions to apply for my
school magazine.
• I stook to the codes and conventions to make my magazine look as
professional as poosi
5. Weaknesses
• However, i did struggle to be able to get the text into different fonts, to
make it different but once i got used to it, it was ok.
• I think the layout could of been set out a bit simpler
• I think icould of made the image a bit clearer
• the image could of looked staight at me instead of looking slightly
away
