The American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) offers students the opportunity to further their professional development by applying for a membership scholarship started by John W. Coné, former ASTD Board Chair.
Received feedback from students at ICE 2011 that students think that $59 is a great rate for ASTD membership and students believe that they use more of their ASTD membership than other members. They also want all of the benefits of the professional membership. Stress it is enroll 12 credit hours per year in an accredited college.
Chapter and national student members are encouraged to participate in discussions on these social networking sites. Chapters are encouraged to post student related content.

ASTD encourages chapters to establish interest groups to meet the needs of their membership.
