The fear of vendor lock-in is still a
reality in 2021.
Cloud services have grown steadily in
recent years and with them the fear
of being locked in to a cloud service
provider.
Companies are responding to this issue
by adopting multi-cloud or hybrid
strategies to protect themselves. This
trend is being reinforced by the cloud
service providers themselves, through
services such as Azure Arc (Microsoft) or
Anthos (GCP) that are equipping
companies in this transition, while
keeping their market share acquisition
strategies in check.
