Clauses of purpose_1
1. CLAUSES OF PURPOSE ( oraciones subordinadas de finalidad) /

We use clauses of purpose to explain why somebody does
something.
They are introduced by:
1- To + infinitive. Helen went to Paris to study law.
2- In order to/ so as to + infinitive. They worked a lot in order
to finish / so as to finish the project ( formal sentence)
3- So that + can. Give me the pencil so that I can write a letter
4- For + noun. We went to Mc Donalds for a burger. (
expresses the purpose of an action)
PHRASAL VERBS ( RUN)
1. RUN AWAY ( escape)
2. RUN ON ( work )
3. RUN OUT OF ( something is finished)
4. RUN OVER ( pass over )
5. RUN INTO ( meet someone)
