2. The purpose behind Decoy is to express how social and political
issues can have a negative effect on the beliefs and ideas of others.
The antagonist; Antonio Kazacar has become lost in the system and
due to his poor living conditions, Antonio is seeking a ‘new path’
where he will be ‘the voice of the people’.
Antonio’s misperception that the Government is the root of his
predicaments, this provokes him to pursue the idea of annihilating
Government in one strike.
3. Our group decided to call the title of the film; ‘Decoy’ because we thought that it fitted
appropriately with the plot, additionally, we wanted a ciphered title that relates to the reality
behind the fiction, and that is extremism.
In the opening sequence, what we are producing is going to denote how the government
responds to extremism, this is by sending Special Forces into the suspected target area and
trying to prevent any threats from causing damage to anyone/anything by restraining the
extremist without drawing too much attention and without causing a panic to the civilian
population.
The twist to the plot is when the Special Forces pursue and obtain the suspected extremist,
located nearby is an additional extremist blending in about to wreak havoc. With the scenario
being the government fixated on one target, the other uses this distraction to exploit the one
chance he has to complete his task. This is the primary reason we called the film ‘Decoy’.

5. We have a couple of settings for the first 2 minutes of the film. One of them, is on the roof of Smiths Wood
Sports College. This is where Shepard (Ethan) is lying down, holding the rifle, looking for Antonio (Oliver).
The second location, is by an alley way, where Fisher (Adam) chases Antonio.
9. These are two of the props that, Shepard and Fisher are
going to use. They will also both have, an ear piece in, so
they can speak to each other.
10. With the growing number of ISIS members
coming into the news we then had an idea
to make a film that will help people to
understand what is going on and how the
transaction between a normal student can
be converted to an extremist.
We want people to know how young people are being lured into
the extremist point of view.
This will give people an insight into what is really going on and
how it happens.
We want to show people that its not just young people that are
changing from a normal student to an extremist that threatens
society.
11. After a lot of news being about the dramatic up-rise in the
extremist group ISIS we then had the idea of creating a film
opening bout this.
After experimenting with ideas about what we could do with
this group, we then came up with the idea of how we could
show the transaction of a student which will be an A level
student to an extremist that is part of one of the most
dangerous extremist groups.
Putting this into a storyline was difficult at first but after we
planned it well with storyboards, mind maps and a well
organised shot list we managed to get a great story out of it.
12. We believe that our film could be successful because this could attract a lot of people that enjoy action and
interesting films because as this is new to the news, a film about it would be very interesting to the movie industry
and to people that are fans of action films.
