How pump working ??????????
******************************
When a hydraulic pump operates,It performs two
functions:
First, its mechanical action creates a vacuum at the
pump inlet which allows atmospheric pressure to force
liquid from the reservoir into the inlet line to the pump.
Second, its mechanical action delivers this liquid to the
pump outlet where Pumps add kinetic and potential
energy to liquid for moving it from point to another
point .

2 : plunger pump
2 : plunger pump
A plunger pump is a type of positive displacement pump
where the high-pressure seal is stationary and a smoothcylindrical
plunger slides though the seal.
This makes them different from piston pumps and allows them to be
used at high pressures.
24. This type of pump is often used to transfer municipal and industrial
sewage
3 : Bucket Pump
It is similar to the Rag Pump and Lift Disk Pump ,but does not require a
tube to draw the water up. It is not very common anymore, but can still
be found occasionally.
One advantage of this pump is that the bucketsdon't turn upright until
they are well below thesurface of the water. They fill with clean water,
and bring up less of the scumthat often floats on the surfaceof a well.
Large old sailing ships sometimes used Bucket Pumps. They were also
used on farms and many other places
4 : diaphragm pump
25. are just one of the many types of oil-free pumps that are presently being
used in many application to avoid the problems of oil vapor
26. contamination that affect many today's stringent processes
commercially available
diaphragm pumps contain no sealing or lubricating oils within the
pumping head and this means that you can depend upon producing a
vacuum where the residual gases are entirely free of oil vapor all
vacuum pumps oil free or not have differing operational characteristics
that make them fully suitable for one application and totally unsuitable
for another
5 - Gear Pump
Gear pumps are positive displacement (or fixed displacement), meaning
they pump a constantamount of fluid for each revolution.
They are one of the most common types of pumps for hydraulic fluid
power applications.
Gear pumps are also widely used in chemical installations to pump fluid
with a certain viscosity ( m ).

External pumpIntennal pump
There are two main variations; external gear pumps which use two
external spur gears, and internal gear pumps which use an external and
an internal spur gear.
27. External gear
a.) As the gears separate on the inlet side of the pump, cavities are
created between the gear teeth which create a vacuum that draws in
the liquid.
b.) Once the teeth clear the inlet port, the liquid is captured between
the gear teeth and the housing.
c.) As the teeth mesh, the liquid is squeezed out of the cavity and forced
out the dischargeport.
Internal gear
a.) The inner gear rotates in unison with the outer gear opening gaps
between their teeth on the suction side drawing in liquid.
b.) Liquid is trapped in the gaps between the teeth and the stationary
crescentas the gears travel toward the dischargeside.
c.) As the inner and outer gears mesh together liquid is forced out the
dischargeside
29. 2 : screwpump
This pumps are used for high flows and relatively low pressure (max 100
bar).
They were used on board ships where the constant pressure hydraulic
system was going through the whole ship, especially for the control of
ball valves, butalso for the steering gear and help drive systems.
The advantage of the screw pumps is the low sound level of these
pumps but the efficiency (h ) is low .
30. 3 : vacuum pump
Vacuum pumps are used in many industrial and scientific processes
including:
1-Driving some of the flight instruments in older and simpler aircraft
without electrical systems.
2-The production of most types of electric lamps, vacuumtubes.
3-Medical processes thatrequire suction
