2. A Life’s Work
The following was inspired by the work that I’ve done for the past 20+ years with
those who fear life lessons. They seem to think that people who go through
struggles are somehow useless, cursed, stupid, and unintelligent or had a bad
upbringing. These same people call themselves ‘spiritual’. Some of them even see
themselves as ‘Lightworker’s. Yet they judge their friends, family and their fellow
human beings for embracing life’s difficulties. For me, the term ‘Guru’ means ‘girl
you’. It is ‘you’ who are afflicted, not those you judge. So stop judging those who go
through problems in life. Be kind and compassionate to them. Just because you see
your life as ‘hunky dory’ doesn’t mean you are better than anyone else. If you’ve
had problems in life, the worse of the worse, it only means that you are really
participating in life. And Life Lessons are being served up to you on a silver platter.
No need to complain. You’re getting it right. Keep those lessons flowing.
I salute you.

5. Stop complaining.
If you haven’t had someone
★ Hurt your feelings
★ Insult you
★ Call you names
★ Make fun of you
★ Lie about you
★ Bully you
Then you haven’t been so hurt by others’ thoughtless actions that it forced you into a spiritual life.
Stop complaining.
If you are
★ Reading this
★ Understanding this
★ Free to access this
★ Walked to your computer to read this
★ Listening to someone read this to you
Then you aren’t blind, you don’t have an impairment of the mind or brain, you aren’t restricted in your
country, you have legs, and you aren’t deaf. Perhaps then you may realise that it is not your right to have
these gifts, but it is purely circumstance, and it just so happens that in this lifetime, it isn’t you, and you can be
kind and compassionate to those who are afflicted. That is your right. They are your teachers. Don’t ignore
them. And don’t dismiss the lessons they bring to you.
6. Stop complaining.
If you haven’t had something
★ Shock you into disbelief
★ Push you into fear and restriction
★ Pull you into a bad situation
★ Appear to be what it is not
Then you haven’t been so naïve that you had no other choice but to face your pain
and realise that pain is a part of the human condition and a part of your soul’s growth.
Stop complaining.
If you haven’t had a situation
★ Appear out of nowhere
★ Take your last penny
★ Make you question life
★ Make you question your faith
★ Close yourself off because of embarrassment
Then you haven’t been so ruffled by life’s uncertainty that you completely
disappeared; you’re still here.
7. Stop complaining.
If you haven’t had a relative
★ Steal from you
★ Make up bold faced lies about you and tell them to all who would listen
★ Is so jealous of you that they make your life difficult
★ Drains every inch of peace from you
★ Constantly wants something from you
Then you haven’t had enough experience with how human beings can behave, especially those closest
to you, and you haven’t yet had the gift of learning forgiveness.
Stop complaining.
If you haven’t had a beloved pet, relative, child, parent or friend die and the loss felt so deep that
★ You felt the pain when you cried deep down in your soul
★ You dropped into a deep depression from grief
★ You felt the sheer pain of missing them every minute of the day
★ You smelt them or thought you heard them in the room
★ You thought constantly what it would be like to be with them in Heaven
Then you haven’t been so struck with grief that you seriously doubted you could go on any longer
without them. And you haven’t been so alive in life that you wondered if it is worth staying alive.
8. Stop complaining.
If you haven’t ever
★ Had to borrow money
★ Been evicted
★ Been fired
★ Been bankrupt
★ Had to walk home because you had no money
★ Could not pay your bills, mortgage or rent, or buy food
★ Collected unemployment
★ Had to move in with friends or family because you had nowhere else to
go
Then you haven’t been so down and out that you were so close to being
homeless, in fact you were, but you fooled yourself into thinking you weren’t
because you were sleeping on someone’s couch. No, you haven’t yet been so
desolate that you began to learn what Blessings really are and that Gratitude
heals.
9. Stop complaining.
If you haven’t ever been so sad because
★ People treat you with no respect
★ People take advantage of you
★ People ask you very personal questions without any thought
★ People make up stories about you just because they can
★ People walk all over you
★ You’ve been the victim of violence
Then you haven’t yet had to learn that it is your own thinking and behaviour and not theirs that needs to
change. Until then you won’t know that they will never change and you’ll keep blaming others. Your inner
thoughts can change, and those experiences will drift away.
Stop complaining.
If you haven’t had to
★ Nurse someone who was critically ill
★ Watch someone die in your arms
★ Watch a pet take its last breath
★ Witness a fatal accident
★ Watch people fall to their deaths in a tragedy
★ Not be able to save someone from drowning
★ Not be able to persuade someone to get clean and stay safe
★ Correct an addiction in yourself
Then you haven’t yet been forced to learn the value of the gift of life.
10. Stop complaining. Stop complaining. Stop complaining.
You can stop complaining because if at least one of the
above has happened to you, then you are fully living
this life. You are fully participating in this life. If most of
these things have happened to you, then you are so
divinely attuned to life, so much so that you are
allowing all of these things into your existence so that
you can grow, grow and grow even more. You are
given these challenges as gifts of growth and
nourishment. Be grateful for the pain, the loss, the
sadness, the suffering, the desolation, the grief, the
disappointment and difficulties. Be grateful for all that
comes. And be grateful for the recovery. Because you
do recover. If you’re reading this, then you’re still here,
living and participating in life.
