Gymnasium Addition to Existing Community Center Feasibility Study
The project scope included a gymnasium addition to an existing community center with support spaces
including office, men's & women's locker rooms, fitness center, storage, police holding cells and other
various support spaces and remodeling interfacing with the existing building. Included were complicated
utility issues, poor soils conditions and storm water/flood plain, and site circulation issues. Alexia Levite
was the project manager for this project and worked closely with the City of Takoma Park personnel,
conducted interviews and participated in presentations to and discussions with the Community Liaison
Committee, and the City of Takoma Park City Council. The full initial study for this project may be
