2. On the 7th of October 1937 baby bobby was
born.
His new family were Cissie Milburn, Frank
Charlton and Jack Charlton.
He was born in Ashington England.
3. While in grammar school, he was spotted by
Manchester United's scout, Joe Armstrong and
was taken to the Red Devils' Youth Squad.
In 1953 he was part of the Busby’s Babes.
Also getting his England Debut.
4. In 1958 after beating Star Red Belgrade 5-4 on
aggregate United had to make a stop in Munich Airport
in stormy weather on the way back. Charlton and a
teammate swapped places with Tommy Taylor and Dave
Pegg, who had decided they would be safer at the back
of the plane but it wasn’t. The plane clipped the fence
and 23 people were killed.
5. World Cup’66 was held in England.
This was the 8th World Cup.

8. With 12 minutes gone in the match Helmut Haller
put West Germany into the lead but 6 minutes later
Geoff Hurst scores the equaliser. As the clock was
ticking down Martin Peters scored England 2-1 but
Wolfgang Webber’s goal was in the last minute of the
match made a draw of 2-2. In early Extra Time Hurst
scored a second goal and in last few seconds of the
match Hurst scored his trio leading England to
World Cup Victory.
