3. Analysis
I showed analysis during the unit when I went
to different sources to find out information
about topics I were interested in. I had to look
for different sources to make sure the
information was valid.

4. Viewing
I showed viewing during the unit when we went on field
trips. We went to the History Museum, the Hong Kong
Museum of Coastal Defense, and the Happy Valley
Cemetery. There were many interested things to learn at
these places. We also watched videos and looked at
pictures.

5. Evaluation
I showed evaluation during the unit when we did
research. I had to decide which significant historical
event I wanted to do research on, and I had to choose
which sources were the best so I could look at it more
often.

7. Curiosity
I showed curiosity during the unit when I wanted to find
out more about man landing on the moon. At home
when I researched, I found out a lot of things. For
example, I found out that some people thought that
man never landed on the moon and they just filmed it in
a studio.

8. Enthusiasm
I showed enthusiasm when I was very excited to go on
the field trip to the Hong Kong Museum Of Coastal
Defense, although I wasn’t very excited about going to
the History Museum because I have already been there
lots of times. I also showed enthusiasm when I wanted
to learn more about World War II.

10. Open minded
I was open minded when I looked at different
perspectives of an event, not just one. For example,
when we did the summative assessment, I had to try
and find different perspectives of the battle for Hong
Kong. Resource 1 was an interview with Canadian
veterans who survived the battle, and resource 5 was
two posters from the Japanese before the attack. They
have two very different perspectives about the event.

11. Thinker
I was a thinker when I thought about all the
interpretations and perspectives of an event, and then
analysed it to find out which one I thought was correct
and which one I thought wasn’t correct. I also had to
think about all the information from the field trips. In the
History Museum, we had to look for an artifact we
thought was very interesting and then find out
information about it. I had to look at the information the
Museum gave me, and I also had to think and infer a
little bit.

12. Action

13. I have done a lot of research on different events in
history. I found out a lot more about World War II, man
landing on the moon, Titanic, and much more. I have
also done a Prezi about World War II.
