Prepare a written response to the case study #1 described in the Assignments Tab. Prepare
a written response organized into five (5) separate sections as described below. Clearly
identify and address each section in your response. Review the assignment rubric in
advance.Section 1 – Perspectives:Present the situation from the perspective of both school
administration and the parent.Section 2 – Principles of Law:Identify the legal issue(s)
presented in the case scenario, and the principles of law that apply to the issue(s) involved
in the case. In this section you will also identify the applicable statutes, regulations, and case
law (if any) and explain their relevancy to the case.Section 3 – Outcome:State how you
would rule on the case if you were a hearing officer assigned to a due process hearing on
this dispute. Give a rationale for your ruling, applying the information from Section
2.Section 4 – Administrative Actions:Discuss from a school administrator’s point of view
actions the school could/should have taken to avoid this kind of litigation in the
future.Section 5 – Policy Plan:Develop a plan to implement the best of the options discussed
in the Administrative Actions section. Include all policies, guidelines, memoranda,
