The student has significantly improved their photo shop and design skills since their preliminary work at the beginning of the year. Their preliminary work lacked an attractive font, basic codes and conventions, banners, and had a tiny main image with an overall terrible layout. In contrast, their new work has a clear layout with many conventions, techniques such as slicing, erasing and cropping, and consistency with only 3 font types providing continuity throughout.
1. Looking back at your preliminary
task, what do you feel you have
learnt in progression from it to
the full product?
2. The improvement I have made
and knowledge I have gained
since my preliminary (located
on the left) is vast.
My photo shop skills from the
start of this year may well have
been non-existent to what they
are now.
As you can see on the left my
preliminary was basic with
unattractive font and basic
codes and conventions
missing out on banners and
much more. My layout was
terrible and my main image
was tiny.
On my right is what I have
been creating months after my
preliminary and it has many
conventions and a clear layout.
Photoshop techniques have
also been used such as slicing,
erasing, cropping, pasting etc.
3. As you can see with my preliminary I didn’t have a font
which I used through out or a lay out. The continuity was
dismal in comparision with my new contents page which
has 3 types of font only and then everything else blends
and comes together nicely.
I believe I have learnt a tremendous amount since last
time.
