Output Devices:-
Introduction= You can enter data into the computer in many
ways. The most commonlyused input devices are Keyboards;
pointing devices, such as mouse and track balls; and scanners.
Many other special-purpose-input devices are available.
Computers often have more than one input device. For
example, most personal computers have both a keyboard and
a mouse.
Output devices:- Output devices are hardware
components , which are used to displayor print the
processed information. We are discussingbelow the
structure , working and uses of the common output
devices.
Monitor (VDU):- Visual display Unit
(VDU) commonly called, as monitor is
the main output device of a computer.
It consists of a computer of a cathode
Ray tube (CRT) which characters as an
output. It forms images fromtiny dots,
called pixels that are arranged in a
rectangular form.The sharpness of the
(screen resolution)depends upon the
number of pixels.

Types of Monitors:- There are different kinds of
monitors depending upon the number of pixels.
Depending upon the resolution can be classified as
follows:
1. CGA (Colour Graphics Adapter
2. MDA (Monochrome Display Adapter)
3. HGA (Hercules Graphics Adapter)
4. EGA ( Enhanced Graphics Adapter)
5. VGA (Video Graphics Adapter)
6. SVGA (Super VGA)
The differences between these monitors are
summarizedin Depending the colour of display,
monitors can be classifiedas Monochrome ( with
single colour black/ white display) and colour (with
all colours display) Monitors.
