•   Teenaged girls would usually be married to a 30 year old man.
•   The teenagers didn’t get to meet her husband until the wedding.
•   If you were a girl in Athens your father would have complete control of you
•   When the girl got married her husband would have complete control over her.
•   If you weren't a slave and you were a man in Athens you still shared profits with everyone.
•   If you were born in a family of only one Athenian citizen you would have to be a slave.
•   A lot of men in Athens were working in politics.
•   When a baby was born in Athens it would be hard for them to survive in the cold weather.
•   When a girl in Athens turn's 13-12 they would be considered as adults so they could marry.
•   If you were a slave, female or a foreigner you could not have a vote or say.
ATHENS- GOVERMMENT
•   Pericles was famous because he invented democracy.
•   In ancient Athens you could get away with almost anything if you were a citizen.
•   If you had be decided by the boule.
•   In between 2000 BC and 1200 BC every Greek city was a monarchy.
•   Until the Peloponnese war started Athens was a well ran city.
•   After the citizens had an idea the boule “a member of 500 people “would debate on the idea.
•   Back in ancient Athens nobody could vote for a new king they had to wait until he died then
    another member of his family like his cousin would be king.
•   When Athens had a court case a civilian an over 30 would pick from a pottery to see who would
    judge him.
•   There would usually be 501 numbers of judges in the pottery.
•   The boule also organised everything like state affairs.
SPARTA- A DAY IN THE LIFE
•   Spartan boys would be sent to a military camp to train until they were 7.
•   The boys had to learn to write and read until they were 14.
•   When you were 18 or 20 you would have to pass a fitness test.
•   You had to stay in the army until you were 60.
•   If you were a Spartan boy you would still train for war for the rest of your life even
    when you were a soldier.
•   Spartan girls had to go to school at 6 to learn how to wrestle and do gymnastics.
•   Spartan soldiers were almost never home.
•   When a Spartan girl finished school she would be assigned a husband.
•   If Sparta was at war then the Olympics were on the other country and Sparta
    would make peace.
•   The women in Sparta also had to hunt for food at times for her husband.
SPARTA- GOVERMMENT
•   Sparta was ruled by two kings .
•   One king would go to war all the time and the other would stay at Sparta and rule.
•   The two kings and 25 elders would make new laws.
•   There was also 5 others that would rule when the two kings had to go to war.
•   If you were a Spartan man you would be called a “assembly”.
•   Sparta was divided into 2 groups the Spartans and the free men but the Spartans still
    ruled over the free men.
•   Helots was another name for a slave.
•   Senate was another name for the 25 elders.
•   Helots were usually captured from a war.
•   The two Spartan kings were the only people that had a good life.
ALEXANDER THE GREAT-PEARSONAL INFO
•   Alexander the greats full name was “ Alexander II of Macedon”.
•   Alexander had three wives they were “ Roxana of bacteria, Stateria II of Persia and
    Parysatis II of Persia.
•   Alexander was not only good at taking over empires but he tried to help his soldiers
    in combat.
•   In 336 BC Alexanders father “Phillip the II of Macedon” was assonated. It was
    thought that Alexander mother “Olympus” assassinated him for getting rid of her.
•   Alexander named about 20 cities “Alexandria”.
•   Alexander was born on the 21-20 of July 356 BC.
•   Alexander died undefeated in battles.
•   On the day that Alexander was born the temple of Artamis apparently burnt down
    and that Athens horses won a big horse race in the Olympics.
•   At the age of thirty Alexander made one of the biggest empires ever.
•   Alexander went overseas to conquer India.
ALEXANDER THE GREAT- ALEXANDER’S EMPIRE
•   In Alexander’s whole life he never lost a battle.
•   A lot of Alexander’s cities were renamed “Alexandria”.
•   Alexander was also a pharaoh.
•   Alexander also conquered Persia and Egypt.
•   Alexander went oversees and conquered kingdoms in India.
•   Alexander’s empire is the highest reason he is talked about now.
•   In the India campaign Alexander got stabbed in the shoulder.
•   IT took Alexander 7 days to win the fight in India.
•   Alexander rewarded older soldiers by sending the back to Macedonian.
•   In the Peloponnese war Alexander decided to go back to help his army.
SOCRATES
• Socrates was one of the first to question a lot of things.
• Socrates tried to save the Athenian soldiers from a death sentence.
•  Plato and Xenophon were Socrates devotes.
• Socrates was the first Athenian philosopher.
• Plato and Aristotle were philosophers like Socrates.
• When Socrates was a kid he had to work as a sculptor.
•  About when Socrates was 40 he started to question things.
• When Socrates was asking people questions about life like “what is
  wisdom” to the young men the Athenian citizens charged him of not
  respecting the gods.
• Socrates death penalty was to drink hemlock.
• Socrates was apparently ugly.
LEONIDAS
• Leonidas died when he was 60 in the year 480 BC.

• In the same year “480 BC” Leonidas lead 300 brave soldiers to war with athens.
  When they finialy made it to athens through the waves of atenenian enemys.

ATHENS- GOVERMMENT • Pericles was famous because he invented democracy. • In ancient Athens you could get away with almost anything if you were a citizen. • If you had be decided by the boule. • In between 2000 BC and 1200 BC every Greek city was a monarchy. • Until the Peloponnese war started Athens was a well ran city. • After the citizens had an idea the boule “a member of 500 people “would debate on the idea. • Back in ancient Athens nobody could vote for a new king they had to wait until he died then another member of his family like his cousin would be king. • When Athens had a court case a civilian an over 30 would pick from a pottery to see who would judge him. • There would usually be 501 numbers of judges in the pottery. • The boule also organised everything like state affairs.

SPARTA- A DAY IN THE LIFE • Spartan boys would be sent to a military camp to train until they were 7. • The boys had to learn to write and read until they were 14. • When you were 18 or 20 you would have to pass a fitness test. • You had to stay in the army until you were 60. • If you were a Spartan boy you would still train for war for the rest of your life even when you were a soldier. • Spartan girls had to go to school at 6 to learn how to wrestle and do gymnastics. • Spartan soldiers were almost never home. • When a Spartan girl finished school she would be assigned a husband. • If Sparta was at war then the Olympics were on the other country and Sparta would make peace. • The women in Sparta also had to hunt for food at times for her husband.

SPARTA- GOVERMMENT • Sparta was ruled by two kings . • One king would go to war all the time and the other would stay at Sparta and rule. • The two kings and 25 elders would make new laws. • There was also 5 others that would rule when the two kings had to go to war. • If you were a Spartan man you would be called a “assembly”. • Sparta was divided into 2 groups the Spartans and the free men but the Spartans still ruled over the free men. • Helots was another name for a slave. • Senate was another name for the 25 elders. • Helots were usually captured from a war. • The two Spartan kings were the only people that had a good life.

ALEXANDER THE GREAT-PEARSONAL INFO • Alexander the greats full name was “ Alexander II of Macedon”. • Alexander had three wives they were “ Roxana of bacteria, Stateria II of Persia and Parysatis II of Persia. • Alexander was not only good at taking over empires but he tried to help his soldiers in combat. • In 336 BC Alexanders father “Phillip the II of Macedon” was assonated. It was thought that Alexander mother “Olympus” assassinated him for getting rid of her. • Alexander named about 20 cities “Alexandria”. • Alexander was born on the 21-20 of July 356 BC. • Alexander died undefeated in battles. • On the day that Alexander was born the temple of Artamis apparently burnt down and that Athens horses won a big horse race in the Olympics. • At the age of thirty Alexander made one of the biggest empires ever. • Alexander went overseas to conquer India.

ALEXANDER THE GREAT- ALEXANDER’S EMPIRE • In Alexander’s whole life he never lost a battle. • A lot of Alexander’s cities were renamed “Alexandria”. • Alexander was also a pharaoh. • Alexander also conquered Persia and Egypt. • Alexander went oversees and conquered kingdoms in India. • Alexander’s empire is the highest reason he is talked about now. • In the India campaign Alexander got stabbed in the shoulder. • IT took Alexander 7 days to win the fight in India. • Alexander rewarded older soldiers by sending the back to Macedonian. • In the Peloponnese war Alexander decided to go back to help his army.

SOCRATES • Socrates was one of the first to question a lot of things. • Socrates tried to save the Athenian soldiers from a death sentence. • Plato and Xenophon were Socrates devotes. • Socrates was the first Athenian philosopher. • Plato and Aristotle were philosophers like Socrates. • When Socrates was a kid he had to work as a sculptor. • About when Socrates was 40 he started to question things. • When Socrates was asking people questions about life like “what is wisdom” to the young men the Athenian citizens charged him of not respecting the gods. • Socrates death penalty was to drink hemlock. • Socrates was apparently ugly.
  • 10. LEONIDAS • Leonidas died when he was 60 in the year 480 BC. • In the same year “480 BC” Leonidas lead 300 brave soldiers to war with athens. When they finialy made it to athens through the waves of atenenian enemys.
