• Violent body language/ angry facial expressions
• Rebellious, don’t play buy the rules
• Black and white imagery with bright coloured text
• Loud vocal sometimes shouting
• Odd facial expressions
• Swearing
4. Punk Rock
Punk rock was inspired by rock and roll from the late 1950s and was
made in the late 1970s. The first big band to try this were the sex
pistols with their aggressive songs and mocking life in general such
as their version of god save the queen. The song mocked the queen
which gave it this rebellious attitude that a lot punk songs use
today. The members of punk rock band make themselves look odd to
other people to make them stand out such as their dyed/spikey hair
or ripped clothing to show they don’t play by the rules. This gave of
the cool impression to teenagers and young adults with their fast
and aggressive songs about life which some people could relate to.
E.g Anarchy in the UK and White riot.
