Respond to… According to Northouse (2018), bass identified the following four transformational leadership factors: 1. Idealized Influence is the component of leadership where a leader leads in a way that inspires his or her followers to want to follow. Leaders that are able to lead with idealized influence lead in a way that creates trust with followers. Leaders foster trust by typically leading in a moral and ethical manner and are characterized by their followers as a person that does the right thing. In my career I have experienced many leaders that I respected and chose to follow due to their high morality and desire to do the right thing. However, one particular leader stands out. I currently work for a large scale medical provider and our Chief Medical Officer (CMO), is someone that leads with idealized influence, people want to follow him because he inspires us all to do the right thing and to administer medicine in a way that positions us all to deliver on our mission, which is delivering hello humankindness. Furthermore, our CMO teaches new providers, we are an academic medical provider, to deliver hello humankindness and reach people on a personal level; building rapport and establishing relationships that are built on trust, respect, and transparency for the greater good of humanity instead of for the good of making money. 2. Inspirational Motivation- According to Northouse (2018), "This factor is descriptive of leaders who communicate high expectations to followers, inspiring them through motivation to become committed to and a part of the shared vision in the organization" (section 8.1, para. 25). Leaders that chose to create inspiration do so by creating a work enviornement that fosters the desire for his or her staff to want to complete the work in the prescribed manner because it is a way that is mutually beneficial to the organization, team and department. Leaders that creation inspirational motivation clearly communicate expectations and goals. 3. Intellectual Stimulation is leadership that creates a desire within followers to challenge the status quo by being innovative, thinking outside of the box, and by creating two way communication. Followers that experience intellectual stimulation are constantly thinking about different and more efficient ways to complete the work without being asked to do so. intellectual stimulation is present when staff is engaged and thinking critically. 4. Individualized Consideration is leading in way that seeks to listen to staff for the purposes of helping to continuously move forward, to evolve in their career and in their work. Leaders that exhibit individualized consideration do so by spending time with each person on their team to develop them, to coach them and to position them to achieve their goals; they do this in a unique and individualized way for each person. Overview Our team has been immersed in ‘whole system change’ for the past few years in Ontario, Canada; California; Australia and New Zealand; and elsewhere. Our main mode of learning is to go from practice to theory, and then back and forth to obtain more specific insights about how to lead and participate in transformative change in schools and school systems. In this workshop we take the best of these insights from our most recent publications: Stratosphere, The Professional Capital of Teachers, The Principal, Freedom to Change, and Coherence and integrate the ideas into a single set of learnings. The specific objectives for participants are: 1. To learn to take initiative on what we call 'Freedom to Change’. 2. To Understand and be able to use the ‘Coherence Framework’. 3. To analyze your current situation and to identify action strategies fro making improvements. 4. Overall to gain insights into ‘leadership in a digital age’. In our research paper titled "Qualitative Analysis on Tax Evasion and Reasons for Reluctance to Join ATL in Pakistan," we delve into the intricate dynamics of tax compliance and explore the underlying reasons why individuals in Pakistan might hesitate to become a part of the Active Taxpayer List (ATL) within the framework of business law and taxation. With a multidisciplinary approach, our team of five researchers embarked on an in-depth exploration of tax evasion behaviors and the factors influencing them. Through qualitative analysis, we aimed to unravel the complex interplay of socio-economic, cultural, and institutional factors shaping tax compliance attitudes among Pakistani taxpayers. Drawing on a diverse range of qualitative research methods, including interviews, focus groups, and content analysis, we gathered rich insights from a diverse sample of individuals representing various sectors of the economy. By immersing ourselves in the lived experiences and perceptions of taxpayers, tax advisors, and legal experts, we uncovered nuanced perspectives on tax evasion practices and attitudes toward ATL membership. Our findings highlight the multifaceted nature of tax evasion in Pakistan, shedding light on both the motivations driving non-compliance and the barriers to ATL enrollment. From perceived inefficiencies in the tax system to cultural norms and trust deficits in governmental institutions, our research identifies a myriad of factors contributing to tax evasion behavior and reluctance to join ATL. Furthermore, our study offers valuable implications for policymakers, tax authorities, and business stakeholders seeking to enhance tax compliance and foster a culture of transparency and accountability in Pakistan's taxation landscape. By addressing the underlying drivers of tax evasion and promoting the benefits of ATL membership, policymakers can design more effective strategies to broaden the tax base and promote sustainable economic development. In conclusion, our research paper represents a comprehensive endeavor to deepen our understanding of tax compliance dynamics in Pakistan and elucidate the complexities surrounding ATL enrollment. By unraveling the intricacies of tax evasion behaviors and attitudes, we hope to contribute to informed policymaking and foster a culture of tax compliance and integrity in Pakistan's business and taxation environment.
