Although for youth, they don’t actually use the entire sophisticated feature in smart phone. Youth use it as their fashion statement, their “Status Phone”. While for their daily phone conversation, they have the 2nd phone, the CDMA, because it’s way cheaper. Besides, the chat services in smart phone allow youth to text as much as they needed, they love to chat or text, especially with BBM service.

5. 4. No.1 wish list present (for Birthday to Christmas): “IPad” Who doesn’t want an IPad? This Steve Jobs’s masterpiece is everyone’s favorite thing. On Twitter, many people put an IPad as their wish list. The iPad combines an iPhone's portability with the power and usability of a laptop. It's got the best of both worlds. It is light and thin, yet it's got a screen large enough to be user-friendly. There is some cool stuff that you can do with your IPad like reading an e-book, subscribe a digital magazine, playing hockey or even having a digital pet :)
6. 5. Let’s hangout in “711” 7-Eleven (711) is part of an international chain of convenience stores, operating under Seven-Eleven Japan Co. Ltd, which in turn is owned by Seven & I Holdings Co. of Japan. In Jakarta, 711 always found a perfect spot; Kemang, Menteng, Tebet, Senayan, Kuningan, and many others. And why it’s so popular? This 24-hour store combines the ‘funky’ food and beverage and the comfortable area to hangout. The 'funky' food I’m talking about is the Slurpee and Big Bite hotdog. You’re allowed to mix your colorful slurpee or you can add various kinds of toppings in your hot dog. 711 is always packed with youth, especially on Saturday Night. It creates a high social currency.
7. 6. “Justin Bieber” epidemic How did Justin Bieber get famous? Bieber was discovered in 2008 by Scooter Braun, who happened to come across Bieber's videos on YouTube. And why he’s so popular? Somehow this new trend emerge from the youth subculture in Jakarta in Bandung. A form a protest against the bad air quality, the traffic, and the urban complexity. It regress people into their childhood excitement.

11. 10. The top-rated movies: “Inception, Social Network and Harry Potter 7” Inception, Social Network and Harry Potter 7 are the coolest movies in 2010. Nolan’s masterpiece, Inception left many unanswered questions and speculations in audience’s mind. It’s a brilliant and genius movie! The Social Network is a movie about the journey of Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of facebook. What’s interesting is the life of Mark; he’s a genius Harvard student, with bad social relationship with his friends and girlfriend. In this movie, a broken-heart Zuckerberg create a facebook. Social Network is really an engaging film, while mainly revolving around the invention of Facebook. And for the Harry Potter 7, I can’t say much on this. Harry Potter never fails me. But this 7th sequel considered as the best film of the franchise and the best interpretation of the novel.
12. 11. The Nation’s Pride: “Timnas Indonesia” Still fresh on our mind the final game of Timnas Indonesia vs Malaysia last December in Suzuki AFF Cup. It was indeed an amazing game performed by Timnas. As we could see in Twitter Trending Topic List, it was dominated by Indonesian users. They were hashtags like #GarudaFightsBack #LoveIndonesia #thankyouriedl #keepbachdimand many more. It showed that this Timnas is the nation’s pride; old and young, boys and girls.., Indonesian were proud of them.
