laser scanner. The Lyon d’Or jury consisting of French trade press
journalists selected Metris for the innovative character of the
digital LC60D scanner that is of immediate benefit to users. This
unique 3D laser scanner features superior scanning productivity,
performance and robustness.
Leeuw van de Export - Lion of the Export 2008
Metris was awarded by Flanders Investment and Trade agency for
its exceptional international business performance over the past
year. Metris CEO Bart van Coppenolle received the trophy from
Flemish Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade.
Best Performer Sales Growth 2007
Metris has received the "Best Performer Sales Growth 2007”
award.

reference newspaper in Belgium for financial news.
Midest 2007 Prix Spécial for K-Robot
At the occasion of the international Midest exhibition in Paris,
Bernard Accoyer – Chairman of the French Parliament – awarded
Metris the Midest Special Prize for Metris K-Robot equipped with
MMD laser scanner. The innovative touch of this robotic laser
scanner is that metrology accuracy is completely independent from
robotic precision. Very high geometric accuracy is guaranteed
through an optical CMM, which dynamically tracks the position of
the 3D laser scanner on the robot arm.

Best UK Export Ambassador
Metris wins best UK export Ambassador, presented by the Belgian-
Luxembourg Chamber or Commerce in Great Britain
Metris, company or the year in Belgium, were selected as best UK
export Ambassador due to their focus on exporting to the UK, their
strong local base and its aggressive acquisition strategy resulting
in three UK acquisitions in the charge year. Michel Vanhoonacker:

strategy. It makes a Nice change to a Belgian company buying
British companies.
Belgian "Enterprise of the Year 2006"
Metris has received the Belgian “Enterprise of the Year” award.
This prestigious award is organized for the 12th time by
Ernst&Young in cooperation with De Tijd (leading financial
newspaper), Fortis Bank and Kanaal Z (financial TV Channel).
Ernst & Young organizes since 1995 the “Enterprise of the Year”
award with the goal to emphasize the importance of innovating
and fast growing companies. The selection of the nominees was in
hands of an independent jury, that examined specific requirements
such as entrepreneurship, business growth, strategic insight,
excellent corporate governance, teamwork, all leading to
successful results. Belgian Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt has
handed the award to Metris during the celebration on October
24th, 2006.
3. Dimensional Metrology Growth Strategy Leadership of the
Year
Metris has been selected by Frost & Sullivan as the recipient of the
2006 Frost & Sullivan Growth Strategy Leadership of the year
Award for its strategies towards growth and outstanding
contribution to the dimensional metrology industry.

by acquisitions. This has aided not only in completing its total
solutions portfolio, but also in building new products as demanded
by the market," notes Dhandayutham. "It has also been successful
in forming alliances with key end users and OEMs to expand its
market presence."
