2. Not everyone who says to me,
“Lord, Lord,” will enter the
kingdom of heaven, but only he
who does the will of my Father
who is in heaven. I will tell them
plainly, “I never knew you. Away
from me, you evildoers!”
(Matthew 7: 21 – 23)
3. You say, “I am rich; I have
acquired wealth and do not
need a thing.” But you do not
realize that you are wretched,
pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
(Revelation 3: 17)
5. When words are many,
sin is not absent,
but he who holds his
tongue is wise.
(Proverbs 10: 19)
6. Even a fool is thought wise
if he keeps
silent, and
discerning if he holds his
tongue.
(Proverbs 17: 28)
7. It is better to be
thought a fool than to
open your mouth and
remove all doubt.
8. "In your anger do not sin":
Do not let the sun go down
while you are still angry, and
do not give the devil a foothold.
(Ephesians 4: 26 – 27)
9. But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness and
self-control. Against such
things there is no law.
(Galatians 5: 22 – 23)
14. This is how we know what love is:
Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.
And we ought to lay down our lives
for our brothers. If anyone has
material possessions and sees his
brother in need but has no pity on
him, how can the love of God be in
him? Dear children, let us not love
with words or tongue but with
actions and in truth.
(1 John 3: 16 – 18)
