1. Overview
Sell gift vouchers (gift certificates or gift cards) for specific products or
whole shopping cart. Automatic voucher codes generation, multiple
codes can be applied at once.

2. Create Voucher Product
1. Go to "Catalog" >
"Manage Products"
2. Click "Add
Product" to create a
Voucher Product

2.1 Create Voucher Product: email or postal
1. Choose
appropriate product
type:
1.1 Simple Product -
in case if vouchers
are posted my mail
(print-out)
1.2 Virtual Product - if
vouchers are sent
with email
2. Click "Continue"

2.2 Create Voucher Product: voucher info
1. Go to "Gift
Vouchers" tab.
Here you can manage
all information
regarding voucher
products
2. Set Is Voucher option to
Yes. It indicates if a Product is
a Voucher Product.
3. Use Target Product option
ONLY IF a Voucher Product is
associated with a Specific
Product. To create
association click "Select
Product..." and select
associated product in popup
4. Set Voucher Lifetime (days)
option if you want to restrict
validity period. Number of
days after voucher purchase
date.
5. Display Message Options
whether to display additional
fields on voucher product
page: from name, to name, to
email, gift message
6. Set custom Email Template for product. Common template
for all vouchers is configured on screen 6.2
7. Listing price can be defined to display custom price for
range prices. This should be also enabled in cofigs (screen
6.3)

2.3 Create Voucher Product: availability info
1. Open Tab General
2. Set Status to
Enabled.
3. Set Visibility to
Catalog, Search or
Catalog.
4. Fill in all required
fields.

2.4 Create Voucher Product: price options
1. Open Tab Prices
2. Set Price value.
In case voucher
product is associated
with a specific product,
customer pays voucher
product price (not
associated product
price).

2.4 Create Voucher Product: price options
1. To setup Price Range for
voucher products use Custom
options tab
2. Setup Price Ranges with Drop-down or Radio
buttons field.
3. Add price options

2.5 Create Voucher Product: stock info
1. Open Tab Inventory
2. Uncheck Use Config
Settings under Manage
Stock value
3. Set Manage Stock
value No.

2.6 Create Voucher Product: stock info
1. Open Tab Inventory
If you need to limit the
number of vouchers to sell
use the following
instructions. Otherwise go
to the next slide.
2. Set Manage Stock value
Yes
3. Fill in Qty value
4. Set Stock Availability
value In Stock

2.7 Create Voucher Product: stores
1. Open Tab Websites if you
use multistore magento
2. Assign websites to Voucher
Product with checking checkboxes

2.8 Create Voucher Product: categories
1. Open Tab Categories
2. Assign categories to Voucher
Product with checking checkboxes
3. Save voucher product after all
modifications are done

3.1 Purchase voucher: product view
Customers can browse
voucher products on
category pages or use
search.
Voucher products are
displayed in catalog as
normal products

3.2 Purchase voucher: gift options
Voucher Products can be added
to shopping cart and purchased
in any quantity.
Customer can enter additional
gift info

3.3 Purchase voucher: shopping cart
Once Voucher product is
added to shopping card,
customer is redirected to
shopping cart page.
Then customer can either
proceed to checkout or
continue shopping

3.4 Purchase voucher: voucher confirm
Customer can browse voucher info
in orders management section.
Voucher info contains:
1) Code
2) Status:
* pending invoice (order not paid
yet),
* available (ready to use),
* cancelled (order cancelled),
* used (applied),
* expired (if voucher has expiration
date)
3) Valid until (optional, if voucher
expiration is configured in admin)
Voucher code becomes available
once order is invoiced

3.5 Purchase voucher: confirmation email
Customer gets voucher
codes with order
confirmation email.

3.6 Purchase voucher: gift email
Once email voucher has invoiced
(order approved) gift recipient gets
voucher email.
Email template can be customized
in Admin > System > Transactional
Emails

3.7 Purchase voucher: admin order confirm
1. To confirm order payment
manually go to Admin >
Sales > Orders page
2. Find an order to confirm
(usually with status
Pending)
3. Click View

Click Invoice
Order payments confirmation in
magento is Invoicing

Scroll to the bottom of the new
invoice page and click Submit
Invoice

4.1 Apply voucher code
Customers can apply
voucher codes on the
shopping cart page

Multiple voucher codes can be applied to
the same order.
Customer needs to separate voucher
codes with comma.
Voucher codes can be applied together
with multiple Sales Rule coupons
4.2 Apply multiple voucher codes
Customer can browse
which codes have been
successfully applied to
the shopping cart

5.1 Vouchers management: codes list
1. To manage voucher orders go to
Admin > Sales > Gift Vouchers
2. Admin can browse, filter and manage all orders and
voucher codes that are done by customers.

5.2 Vouchers management: bulk upload codes
1. To upload voucher codes go to
Admin > Sales > Gift Vouchers
3. Choose assigned Voucher Product
4. Choose Status for uploaded codes
For Sale or Inactive.
5. Fill in Voucher Codes.
Each line is predefined code
6. Click Save button
2. Click Upload Codes

5.3 Vouchers management: view & update info
1. Go to Admin > Sales > Gift
Vouchers > View
2. You can browse voucher info
and update Available amount and
Expiration Date
3. Click Save to adjustments make
effect
4. You can update Voucher status
with action buttons: Expire,
Delete, Activate, Deactivate.
Buttons appearance depends on
voucher status.

5.4 Vouchers management: view usage stats
1. Go to Admin > Sales > Gift
Vouchers > View > Voucher Usage
Tab
2. Here you can browse sales info
that were made to redeem selected
voucher

5.5 Vouchers management: generate
1. Go to Admin > Sales > Gift Vouchers
2. Click Generate button
3. Fill in necessary form fields:
Status: initial status for new
vouchers
Qty: amount of new vouchers to
generate
Store: assign new vouchers to a
store
Voucher Amount: gift amount for
customers for every new voucher
4. Fill in Gift Information section
5. Click Generate button

6.1 Configuration: code templates
1. Go to Admin > System >
Configuration > Widgento Modules -
Gift Vouchers/Certificates > Create
Voucher Options
2. You can configure generated
voucher Code length
3. Code prefix can be added
automatically to all generated
vouchers
4. Use Code separator and Insert
Separator every X Steps to split code
into short “words”
5. You can choose how to Display
Voucher Code to Sender that
purchased voucher. He or she can:
a) get it with order confirmation email
and browse in order details (In Order
Info).
b) Get a Copy of Voucher email that
their friends receive
c) Hide voucher info from customers
6. Click Save to changes make effect

6.2 Configuration: apply vouchers & gift emails
1. Go to Admin > System >
Configuration > Widgento
Modules - Gift
Vouchers/Certificates
2. Use one voucher multiple times
option allows to restrict if necessary to
redeem one voucher for one order
only.
3. New Voucher Email > Email
Template allows to set custom
template for gift emails. Please use
System > Transactional Emails to
setup custom email. Create a template
from pattern New Voucher Email.
4. Send on Invoice option allows to
turn off immediate gift emails sending.
It is useful to improve performance.
5. Click Save to changes make effect

6.3 Configuration: admin columns, templates
1. Go to Admin > System > Configuration > Widgento
Modules - Gift Vouchers/Certificates > Admin
2. You can select Grid
Columns that are displayed
in Admin > Sales > Gift
Vouchers.
3. To display custom listing
prices for vouchers with price
ranges select Yes.
4. Click Save to changes make
effect
