- 1. Tire Lyna’s advanced technology VS DuraSeal technology*
My name is Noorez Devraj and I am the founder and president of Lyna Manufacturing Incorporated. Twelve years ago I was
involved in marketing a US-made liquid tire sealant. During the development of this business, I realized the available
products in this sector had a number of inadequacies, such as, congealing when exposed to various temperatures, bacterial
growth effecting product performance, fibers clogging the valve stem, solvents causing chamber fires, rust problems, tire
beads welding to the rim, sealant pooling to the bottom making it difficult for a section repair, etc.
In twelve months of extensive testing, none of the available sealants were suitable for the highway trucking fleets. Therefore,
in 1996, I had a vision that launched us on a journey. It was a journey in which I engaged with a team of engineers and
technicians and started research and development to develop an affordable tire sealant formula. Since we had no idea where
to begin, our journey of discovery was an act of faith. We did not know what lay ahead, other than excitement and
unpredictability. And we knew that it could be enthralling but would require patience, determination and tenacity. We set out
14 objectives. These objectives were an end result of compiling every problem associated with tires on the white board. We
determined that if and when these 14 Objectives were met, we would then have a superior product to lower tire operation
costs for commercial and OTR vehicles. http://www.tirelyna.com/test_objectives.htm
Three years later and close to a million dollars of personal investment, we achieved our goal and the first Tire Lyna
commercial product was produced. Tire lyna is qualified as a ground up technology by the Scientific Research and
Experimental Development of Canada (SR&ED).

DuraSeal:
Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price USD$60.00
Tire Lyna:
Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price USD$15.00
DuraSeal:
The DuraSeal system it's effective at sealing from -40F to +100F.
Tire Lyna:
Pneumatic tires are expected to function in many different climates and even in regions where temperature
variations are extreme. Actual tire temperatures in extreme operating conditions can exceed 320oF. It is not practical
to expect some operators to purchase different tire sealant formulas for different climates, so Tire Lyna was
developed to operate in both extreme cold and heat. Laboratory testing and field-testing has proven Tire Lyna has
an actual operating temperature range of +370oF (+188oC) to -112oF (-80oC). Reference made in our MSDS.
DuraSeal:
Goodyear claims their new tires will last up to six times longer than conventional medium truck tires before they
need to be repaired.
While flexing of tire occurs during normal operation it is possible for a nail to eventually cut through and cause a
small cut, this can let moisture through the damaged area and can lead to a catastrophic tire failure.
Tire Lyna:
Tire Lyna complies by the tire manufacturers policy that any tire that has a cavity larger then a quarter inch is
UNSAFE. The tire must be pulled out of service and an authorized tire dealer must do a proper repair.
DuraSeal:
The DuraSeal system only adds about 5 to 7 pounds weight per tire, and it's effective at sealing from -40F to +100F.
Tire Lyna:
The Tire Lyna system only adds 30 - 36 ounces of evenly distributed weight forming a thin protective gel coating
over the inner liner and it's effective at sealing from -80F to +370F.
DuraSeal:
DuraSeal will apply primarily in logging, landfill, construction, road building and other severe applications.
Tire Lyna:
All Commercial Vehicles: long haul, short haul and local delivery, Delivery/Courier trucks and vans, Logging trucks,
Bus/Coach, Motorhomes and R.V's (including 5th wheel), Tow trucks, Boat trailers, Loaders, Skid steers, Graders, Backhoes,
Mining equipment, Logging equipment, Agriculture equipment, Forklifts, Construction equipment, Cranes, Tractors, Lawn and
Garden equipment, ATV's, Golf carts & Bicycles.

- 2. DuraSeal:
Goodyear claims all tests done with their new technology Duraseal, were done in-house.
Tire Lyna:
Lyna manufacturing claims that its technology Tire Lyna is tested and proven in the market place.
DuraSeal:
According to tests by Goodyear themselves, their new tires will last up to six times longer than conventional medium truck
tires before they need to be repaired.
Tire Lyna:
Maintaining proper inflation pressure in tires is extremely important. By eliminating air loss, the tire retains its correct volume
of air thereby reducing the likelihood of overheating. A protected casing can last up to six to ten times longer as long as it
does not suffer from a sidewall injury.
DuraSeal:
Uses a gel-like, solvent-free compound.
Tire Lyna:
Uses a liquid gel-like, solvent-free compound.
DuraSeal:
It is designed to consistently and instantly seal punctures up to 1/4-inch wide in the tread area, and is superior to any after-
market sealant.
Tire Lyna:
It is designed to consistently and instantly seal punctures up to 1/4-inch wide in the tread area, and is superior to any after-
market sealant.
DuraSeal:
The tire casing maintains its sealing capability even after it is retreaded.
Tire Lyna:
With the recommendation of retreaders, Tire Lyna uses safe environmental properties for easy clean up and is designed to
give the fleet an option to trade in the casing for up to $100 casing credit.
DuraSeal:
The built-in sealant means no messy cleanup for each repair; reduced fire risk during retreading and no negative impact in
tire temperature, high-speed performance, durability and rolling resistance.
Tire Lyna:
Mathematically calculated dosage, which forms a thin protective gel coating over the inner liner means no messy cleanup for
each repair; reduced fire risk during retreading and no negative impact in tire temperature, high-speed performance,
durability and rolling resistance.
DuraSeal:
Though there is currently no date for the new technology to appear in the UK market, speaking to TNN, Goodyear confirmed
that DuraSeal would most likely be incorporated into their next generation of tires.
Tire Lyna:
Tire lyna is available and applicable in all commercial pneumatic tires and is exported in various parts of the world.
DuraSeal:
Several calls were placed to various retreaders and none have reported retreading a DuraSeal tire to-date.
Tire Lyna:
Tire Lyna’s solvent free liquid gel technology has been commercially used for over six years and has under gone several
retreads, including Goodyear’s.
