Once you get it in your 'toolbox', cognitive dissonance is one of those things
you find yourself coming back to again and again, The "challenge" to come
up with something new and out of the ordinary provides a double-payback: 1.
the search and creation energize you and heighten your enthusiasm; 2. it
"creates the want" in your students to see what you're going to come up with
next. Can there be a better situation than having them come to you eagerly
and/or creating offerings for your consideration because you've inspired
them to go beyond the minimum? I think not.
As a challenge, how might you go about writing this text so the spiral BEGINS
in the center? Hmmmm....
