Solid Foundation is a non-governmental organization founded in 1991 to care for teenagers in Nigeria. It aims to equip parents and organizations with tools to raise teens and hosts teen-focused events. Some events include annual camps, music events, and counseling sessions. Solid Foundation also provides workshops for parents on topics like communicating with teens and sex education. It has partnerships with several schools and hopes to continue creating an enabling environment for teens to develop identity and become productive adults.

In 1991, Solid Foundation was formed as a non governmental organization with the
sole aim of caring for teens in the following ways:
 Equipping parents, schools, religious and social organizations with the necessary
knowledge and tools to meet the challenges of raising teenagers.
 Organize teen focused events such as annual camps with the aim of creating
communication channels to them so as to help them address issues and challenges
they face.
Solid Foundation is a volunteer-based NGO and the core of its volunteer work-force is
made of professionals in various careers such as medical, banking, real estate and
education.

Meeting the Teenagers
Our Teen focused events include these:
 Solid Camps: an 8-day annual camping experience. 2013 camp would be our
22nd annual camp since 1992
 Solid Gold: an annual musical event.
 Decisions and Commitment (D&C): Sexual Abstinence campaigns
 Clinics: Group therapy sessions
 Just Guys: Mentoring program for young men
 Individual Counseling sessions
A number of these programs have been sponsored by corporate organizations such as MTN,
Elizade Motors, WAMCO Nigeria Plc, DUFIL Prima Foods Plc(Indomie) among others

Equipping Parents & Care-givers
Our work is :
 Workshops: focused on teen relevant subjects such as media, music, sexuality
& sex education, communicating to your teen, parenting teens etc
 Seminars and Resource Support.
 Institutional Capacity building support: We assist schools and churches
in training their teen workers and teachers on how to work with their teens
Over the years, we have established partnerships with a number of schools such as
Greensprings Schoool, Corona Trust Schools, Dansol Schools and Christ The Redeemer College.
