CS Begins Joint Work with Consumer Associations from around
the Country
The Competition Superintendence (CS) met with 80 representatives of 26 consumer
associations from all over the country in a work session. The utmost important matter was
the information exchange with respect to the CS´ work in favor of consumer welfare and the
future joint projects to motivate citizen complaints of anticompetitive practices.

The 2011 Competition Week began today and will finalize on November 25th. The purpose of said week is to
promote competition culture throughout the country by bringing the authority closer to different audiences and
share with them issues of the utmost importance for economic agents and consumers
Three public events will take place during the aforementioned week which will be opened to the public free of

charge. The first will be held on Tuesday, November 22 , to discuss the CS´ resolutions and some decisions
issued by the Supreme Court of Justice regarding competition matters. During the second activity, on

Wednesday, November 23 , the CS will present its analysis of the pharmaceuticals sector. On Thursday,

November 24 , the CS will present the results of the competition study of the credit and debit cards market in El
Salvador.
