This research proposal aims to study the prevalence of anemia among adolescent girls in slum areas of eastern Nepal. It notes that anemia is a common public health problem in Nepal, especially among adolescents. The objectives are to determine the prevalence of anemia and examine its association with demographic variables. The study will use a descriptive, cross-sectional design with multistage sampling of adolescent girls aged 10-19 in selected slums. Hemoglobin levels will be measured to determine anemia. Data collection tools include questionnaires and a hemoglobinometer. Analysis will include measures of central tendency, chi-square tests, and examine relationships between anemia and factors like age, education, economic status, and access to health services. Only adolescent girls who comes direct contact
with us during data collection period.
Permanent resident at least 3 months in
selected slum area.

Informed consent and assent will be obtained
from adolescent girls and parents respectively,
who are in direct contact.

used for research will only be mentioned in front
