million checking accounts and alerts you if your customer has written bad checks

The service also protects you from returned checks by identifying consumers who
have recently been conducting an unusual level of check-writing activity. The
national bad check database, which is owned and managed by Intuit, the maker of
Quickbooks, is a repository of over 30 million bad checks writers.
In addition to accessing the national bad check database, the system monitors
check writing activity, and allows merchants to restrict the number and amount of
checks accepted from any one individual. These velocity restrictions can be
