● Email is a critical communication platform; projects have a high profile for every users;
projects require near-flawless execution to minimize user disruption
● Co-existence is a challenge due to format translation and calendar interoperability issues;
consider Big-bang approach
● Data migration is costly and time consuming; evaluate an user self-service migration
approach
● Take care of specials like mailing lists, mail applications, mobile
users, multi-functionals, etc.
● Provide a mix of training options for end-users
● Use an e-mail migration project to update the e-mail security
and organizational policy
● A migration team should include a project manager,
a technical (infra/dev) lead, a QA manager and a communication manager.
