SmartFROG
    story of two frogs
A group of frogs were traveling through the woods
two of them fell into a deep pit
helpless
DeepTHINKING
what could be done now?
Let’s Jump out...
as humans do...
the other frogs around, started shouting
“don’t do that – it will hurt you more”
“hit your head – and simply die”
         We Will Miss You

               says, the party
this one

           One out of two,
           decided to hit his
           head on the rock.
he DIED
while the other
           one, continued to
           jump as hard as
           he could.

this one
Once again,
the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die.
he jumped even harder and
finally made it out.

when he got out, the other frogs said,
"Did you not hear us?"
The frog explained to them that he was deaf.
He thought they were encouraging him the entire time.
This story teaches two lessons

There is power of life and death in the tongue. An
encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up
and help them make it through the day.

A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it
                    takes to kill them.
Be careful of what you say. Speak
life to those who cross your path.
The power of words... it is
sometimes hard to understand that
an encouraging word can go such a
long way. Anyone can speak words
that tend to rob another of the spirit
to continue in difficult times. Special
is the individual who will take the
time to encourage another.
The 4 Wives
Story of a Rich Merchant

         04
          The Man Who Had

           beloved wives
The fourth wife...

                     He loved the 4th wife
                     the most and adorned
                     her with rich robes
                     and treated her to
                     delicacies. He took
                     great care of her and
                     gave her nothing but
                     the best.
The third wife...

                    He also loved the 3rd
                    wife very much. He's
                    very proud of her and
                    always wanted to show
                    off her to his friends.
                    However, the merchant
                    is always in great fear
                    that she might run
                    away with some other
                    men.
The second wife...

He too, loved his 2nd wife.
                 She is a very considerate
                 person, always patient and in
                 fact is the merchant's
                 confidante. Whenever the
                 merchant faced some
                 problems, he always turned to
his 2nd wife and she would
always help him out and tide
                 him through difficult times.
The first wife...
                    Now, the merchant's 1st wife
is a very loyal partner and
                    has made great contributions
                    in maintaining his wealth
and business as well as taking
                    care of the household.
                    However, the merchant did
not love the first wife and
                    although she loved him
                    deeply, he hardly took notice
                    of her .
one day merchant went ill...

                         diagnosed
                         cancer
                         told merchant
‘you have only a day to go’
He knew he is going to die...
he knew that he was going to die soon. He
thought of his luxurious life and told himself,
"Now I have 4 wives with me. But when I
die, I'll be alone. How lonely I'll be!"
he called his fourth wife and said
                   "I loved you most,
                   endowed you with the
                   finest clothing and
                   showered great care
                   over you. Now that I'm
                   dying, will you follow
                   me and keep me
                   company?" "No way!"
                   replied the 4th wife and
                   she walked away without
                   another word
he then called his third wife and said

"I have loved you so much
for all my life. Now that I'm
                   dying, will you follow me
                   and keep me company?"
                   "No!" replied the 3rd wife.
"Life is so good over here!
                   I'm going to remarry when
                   you die!"

                   The merchant's heart sank
                   and turned cold.
he then called second wife and said

"I always turned to you for
                help and you've always
helped me out. Now I need
                your help again.

When I die, will you follow me
                and keep me company?"
                "I'm sorry, I can't help you out
                this time!" replied the 2nd
                wife.
Suddenly, a VOICE came... It was his 1 st
                                                    wife

“ I will leave with you. I'll follow
you no matter where you go.“

                      The merchant looked up and
there was his first wife. She
was so skinny, almost like she
                      suffered from malnutrition.
                      Greatly grieved, the merchant
                      said,

                      "I should have taken much
better care of you while I could
                      have !"
Actually, we all have 4 wives in our lives
Our 4th Wife...

                  The 4th wife is
                  our body.

                  No matter how much
                  time and effort we
                  lavish in making it look
                  good, it'll leave us
                  when we die.
Our 3rd Wife...

                  Our 3rd wife is our
                  possessions, status
                  and wealth.

                  When we die, they
                  all go to others.
Our 2nd Wife...

                  The 2nd wife is our
                  family and friends.

                  No matter how close
                  they had been there
                  for us when we're
                  alive, the furthest they
can stay by us is up to
                  the grave.
Our 1st Wife...
                  The 1st wife is
                  in fact our soul,
                  often neglected
                  in our pursuit of
                  material, wealth
                  and sensual
                  pleasure.
MORAL: Don’t neglect your soul

Cultivate and strengthen it
now rather than to wait until
we're on our deathbed to
lament
The Potato Garden
The Potato Garden
An old man lived
alone in Minnesota.
He wanted to spade
his potato garden,
but it was very hard
work.
His only son, who would
have helped him, was in
prison. The old man wrote
a letter to his son and
mentioned his situation.
“Dear Son, I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won’t
be able to plant my potato garden this year” –continue...
I hate to miss doing the
garden, because your
mother always loved
planting time” –continue...
“I’m just getting too old to
be digging up a garden
plot. If you were here, all
my troubles would be
over. I know you would
dig the plot for me, if you
weren’t in prison.”

Love, your Dad
Shortly, the old man received this telegram:

“For Heaven’s sake, Dad, don’t dig up the
garden!! That’s where I buried the GUNS!”
                                        Love, your son
Next Morning at 5:30 AM
A dozen agents and
local police officers
showed up and dug up
the entire garden
without finding any
guns
Confused, the old man wrote another note to
his son telling him what happened, and
asked him what to do next.

His son’s reply was:
“Go ahead and plant your potatoes, Dad.
It’s the best I could do for you from here.”
MORAL: You Are Never Helpless
No Matter Where Are You in the World or Facing
 Whatever Circumstances

If you have decided to do something from the very deep of your
   heart, you can do it

To make a difference in ones life, you do not need all the
  resources you want
The Chinese Woman
The Chinese Woman
An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on
the ends of a pole, which she carried across her neck.
One of the pots had a
crack in it while the
other pot was perfect
and always delivered a
full portion of water.

At the end of the long
walk from the stream to
the house, the cracked
pot arrived only half full.
Of course, the perfect pot
was proud of its endeavors.

But the poor cracked pot
was ashamed of its own
imperfection, and miserable
that it could only do half of
what it had been made to
do.
After 2 years of what it
perceived to be bitter
failure, it spoke to the
woman one day by the
stream.

 “I am ashamed of myself,
because this crack in my
side causes water to leak
out all the way back to your
house.”
The old woman smiled, “Did you notice that there are flowers on
your side of the path, but not on the other pot’s side?

That’s because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted
flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we
walk back, you water them.”
That’s because I have always known about your flaw, so I
planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every
day while we walk back, you water them.”

“For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful
flowers to sell them and run my family.”
Without you being just the way you are, there would not
be this beauty to grace the house and sell rest of
them.”
MORAL: Weaknesses are Strengths
 Each of us has his own
                       unique flaw…

 But it’s the cracks and
                       flaws we each have
                       that make our lives
                       together so very
                       interesting and
                       rewarding.

 You’ve just got to take
                       each person for what
                       they are and look for
                       the good in them.
Puppies for Sale
story of a
young BOY
who wanted
to sell
his PUPPIES
He had 8 Puppies
and he wanted to sell all of them
All set to sell,
but the boy
was worried
for his only
dog – which
was a limp
and had only
three legs.
one fine day,
a girl came to
buy one
puppy
from this
young boy
the boy displayed all his dogs
including the LIMP one
the girl
selected the
limp puppy
and asked
him the price
for it
The boy said to her

“why don’t you buy
from my range of
puppies which are
active and can always
play with you”?

The limp puppy has
only three legs and he
cannot even walk
properly.
she replied…
Out of my two visible legs,
one is artificial and so I
can’t even walk properly.
I can’t run too well myself,
and he also needs
someone who understands
him.
MORAL
The world is full of people who need
someone who understands.

  • 21. Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your path. The power of words... it is sometimes hard to understand that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time to encourage another.

  • 34. Actually, we all have 4 wives in our lives
  • 35. Our 4th Wife... The 4th wife is our body. No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it'll leave us when we die.
  • 36. Our 3rd Wife... Our 3rd wife is our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, they all go to others.
  • 37. Our 2nd Wife... The 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how close they had been there for us when we're alive, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.
  • 38. Our 1st Wife... The 1st wife is in fact our soul, often neglected in our pursuit of material, wealth and sensual pleasure.
  • 39. MORAL: Don’t neglect your soul Cultivate and strengthen it now rather than to wait until we're on our deathbed to lament

  • 45. I hate to miss doing the garden, because your mother always loved planting time” –continue...
  • 46. “I’m just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my troubles would be over. I know you would dig the plot for me, if you weren’t in prison.” Love, your Dad
  • 47. Shortly, the old man received this telegram: “For Heaven’s sake, Dad, don’t dig up the garden!! That’s where I buried the GUNS!” Love, your son

  • 54. An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole, which she carried across her neck.
  • 55. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
  • 56. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its endeavors. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.
  • 57. After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. “I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.”
  • 58. The old woman smiled, “Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot’s side? That’s because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.”
  • 59. That’s because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.” “For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to sell them and run my family.”
  • 60. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house and sell rest of them.”
  • 61. MORAL: Weaknesses are Strengths  Each of us has his own unique flaw…  But it’s the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.  You’ve just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.
