1. Plane crash!!! A mystery or An accident???
Unfortunately few days back I was working on the office when a friend of mine told me that
there is a plane crash near margalla hills, it was a plane carrying 152 people. The news was
shocking and for the moment my senses choked, I started recalling if any of my friends or
relatives were on board. Fortunate enough that wasn’t the case but yet it was a great human loss.
The loss of our fellow beings and muslim brothers and sisters. I was curious to know the reasons
and more details about this incident. From the news media, I came to know that it was due to
rough weather as can be seen here
Unluckily but our media is something I don’t trust much so I moved a step further and started to
dig the issue more deeply. The plane crashed near Daman-e-Koh and I don’t see that it’s a
legitimate router where most planes fly around. Another main reason for backing up my thought
is that there are sensitive buildings and government offices in that area and thus is a NO GO
AREA. Starting from left to right we can witness PAF Complex, Air Headquarter, different
commercial buildings , parliament house, supreme court and presidency.
This is all one aspect , if we look into the technical aspect what might have happened can be
termed as Air Turbulence. There are three types for Air Turbulence majorly
• Turbulence during storms
• Turbulence over mountains
• Unexpected turbulence
What I was more interested in was the second kind. “The Federal Aviation Administration says
58 airliner passengers are injured every year by turbulence” taken from here

turbulence in the form of waves when it reaches the other side, just as ocean waves break on the
lee side of a submerged reef. Although they can’t see the turbulence itself, pilots can anticipate
so-called “mountain waves” as they fly over mountains because they are so common there. A
further tipoff when conditions are right for mountain waves is the presence of lens-shaped
lenticular clouds in the vicinity”
Another aspect was that Islamabad Air Traffic Control was fully aware of the situation and the
information is kept secret and not disclosed for may be political or any other reasons. For better
