participants “What design do you find more
appealing/eye-catching?”. It features my newest
draft and 6 potential future drafts.
• I made 6 differentiations purely on the title as
this is something that I felt needed to be change
in order to be more eye-catching and appealing
to an audience, as the previous one was bland.

The Majorities Vote
• This poster design received 50% of
participants vote and is therefore the chosen
re-draft.

• The quotes show a range of answers
acknowledging why they find it appealing and
eye-catching. For example:
– “This poster caught my eye the most because it makes
me want to watch the film.” (eye-catching and
appealing)
– “It looks very professional and the finger print is
interesting.” (appealing)
– “This poster is the most interesting as it makes me
want to know more.” (appealing)
– “Simple but effective.” (appealing)
Results
• This evaluation/re-draft research has lead me to
also find out that the audience believe that the
title makes a huge difference to the
representation of the film on a whole. For
example:
– “I believe that the title shows grain and grittiness,
which is a great representation of social realism.”
– “The finger print allows an insight towards the themes
and issues of the film.”
– “The scratchiness of the title represents social realism
well.”
