    o Major goals
      –   explore the phenomenon of creativity as a
          collaborative process
      –   understand what it is and how it can be supported
          by modern technologies

      –   observe creativity as a process and as a product
      –   study how collaborative creativity in educational
          settings is supported and constrained by the
          technologies (Creativity models)
      –   analyze the role of mobile technologies in creative
          collaboration

    o Creative collaboration
      –   a multidisciplinary process where various problems
          are explored from novel perspectives and the result
          of collaboration is not defined beforehand
          (Mamykina et. al, 2002; Sternberg, 2006)

    o Different perspectives of mobile
      learning, e.g.
      –   Any sort of learning that happens when the learner
          is not at a fixed, predetermined location
      –   or learning that happens when the learner takes
          advantage of the learning opportunities offered by
          mobile technologies (Malley et. al, 2003)

       –   Bringing students with different backgrounds and
           expertise in one digital environment for discussions
           (AC)
       –   Encouraging students to collect media data in the field
           (mobile phones / iPad’s)
       –   Providing a space for collaborative creation of digital
           artifacts (Wiki)
       –   Making students present their projects to the peers and
           the public (Prezi)

  • 9. Joint European Course Task o Creating a media handbook for educators o Each of the ~7 book chapters – entitled by a TEL-related challenge designed by CoCreat partners – consists of a solution developed by one international group of students 9

Joint EU Course Learning goals o Apply theoretical knowledge to practical problem solving (collaboration with international partners of different expertise) o Write collaboratively and create an independent section to electronic publication, based on data collected o Design a technological environment for educational purposes 10
  • 11. Joint European Course Activities o Synchronous online meetings and discussions o Collecting data in the field o Designing own technological environment o Creating shared artifact o Peer-reviewing o Presenting projects to the peers and public 11

Joint European Course Technology o Starting point – Bringing students with different backgrounds and expertise in one digital environment for discussions (AC) – Encouraging students to collect media data in the field (mobile phones / iPad’s) – Providing a space for collaborative creation of digital artifacts (Wiki) – Making students present their projects to the peers and the public (Prezi) 12
