Codes and Conventions
Channel 4
Codes and Conventions
• Logo - The Channel 4 Logo is always positioned to the right hand
half way down the advert.
• Image - The image on the print advert is always 1 main image
with editing to create other aspects. Therefore making it simple. It
is always relevant to the subject.
• Colour Scheme - The colour scheme of the text and logo is
always opposite to the image, such as, if there is colour within the
image in the background, the text and logo are mainly
monochrome and visa versa.
• Text - The text on the print advert is always a simple font
positioned in the bottom left hand corner. This includes the title,
scheduling information and slogan.
The text is created on a layer on top of a block of colour, the
same colour as the channel 4 logo.
