 Strategic Planning: Developing plans and objectives to fulfill the
organization’s purpose
 Leadership: Facilitating the communication of the organization’s
purpose through vision and follow-through
 Organisation Design: Establishing and/or reinforcing the structure that
defines management and communication paths
 Stewardship: Establishing and/or reinforcing the accountability for
preserving the organisation’s purpose
 Risk Management: Putting assets at risk to achieve the organisation’s
objectives. Balancing risk and reward.
 Assurance: Providing feedback on the efficiency and
effectiveness of the project.
Project Management is an outgrowth of good Governance

supports the governance function.
Project Teams are groups of diverse people that are held
together by a shared purpose.
The project team exists to achieve its purpose: to deliver something
of value to its customers or constituents.
