2. The Cynical
- those who have lost hope
- no longer expect good times
can come

3. Difference between
cynicism and
sentimentalism
- cynicism is usually a reaction to
sentimentalism
- sentimentalism tends to gaze at the good
times and overlook the bad
- cynicism sees too much of the bad times
and overlooks the good

4. Santa Claus,
Saint Nicholas,
Saint Nick,
Father
Christmas,
Kris Kringle,
Santy,
or simply Santa

5. For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his
shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the greatness of his government and
peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.

7. HE SHALL BE CALLED

I. See Him not just as a baby but as

who came from the Father, full of grace and

9. Three ways to accept JESUS

1)He was a LIAR
2)He was a LUNATIC
3)He is THE ONLY
SAVIOR

10. DEITY / DIVINITY OF JESUS CHRIST
1)He was referred to as “the Lord’ - Psalm
110:1
1)He was God incarnate - - Matthew 1:23
2)He was given divine names – Isaiah 9:6,7
3)He declared He is the “I AM” – John 8:58
4)He forgave sins – Mark 2:5
5)He resurrected – Romans 1:14

11. HUMANITY OF JESUS CHRIST
1) He was given human names –
Son of man – 17 times
2) He had human ancestry – Luke 2:7 (Mary)
3) He possessed physical nature – John 1:14
4) He was subject to laws of human development
– Luke 2:40
5) He lived a normal human life – hungry, weary,
thirsty,etc.
6) He died just like any other human being
– Heb. 9:27

12. Believers who have
known Jesus Christ
personally are
not CYNICALS
They will celebrate Him!

THE PERSON,
JESUS CHRIST!
LET US CELEBRATE
HIM ,
CHRSTMASTIME OR
NOT!
