Building and maintaining thesauri are complex and laborious tasks. PoolParty is a Thesaurus Management Tool (TMT) for the Semantic Web, which aims to support the creation and maintenance of thesauri by utilizing Linked Open Data (LOD), text-analysis and easy-to-use GUIs, so thesauri can be managed and utilized by domain experts without needing knowledge about the semantic web. Some aspects of thesaurus management, like the editing of labels, can be done via a wiki-style interface, allowing for lowest possible access barriers to contribution.

Linked Data has become a broadly adopted approach for information management and data management not only by government organisations but also more and more by various industries. Enterprise linked data tackles several challenges like the improvement of information retrieval tools or the integration of distributed data silos. Enterprises understand better and better why their information management should not be limited by organisational boundaries but should rather consider to integrate and link information from different spheres like the public internet, government organisations, professional information providers, customers and even suppliers. On the other hand, enterprise IT architects still tend to pull down the shutters wherever possible. The continuation of the success of the Semantic Web doesn't seem to be limited by technical barriers anymore but rather by people's mindsets of intranets being strictly cut off from other information sources. In this talk I will throw new light on the reasons why metadata is key for professional information management, and why W3C's semantic web standards are so important to reduce costs of data management through economies of scale. I will discuss from a multi-stakeholder perspective several use cases for the industrialization of semantic technologies and linked data.

The presentation introduces listeners into the details of the most important global semantic vocabulary build jointly by Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and Yandex: schema.org. It then discusses the experiences related to the creation of “hosted” extensions for the automotive industries (existing: auto.schema.org) and for the financial industries (in making: fibo.schema.org). The two extensions, built by an international team of specialists managed by MakoLab with full respect to the community processes, have two different creation strategies which will be presented and discussed. The use cases for both vocabularies will be demonstrated. They are related to both “external” business effects (better visibility of the websites using them on the web) and “internal” effects (new kind of analytics and search capacities). The presentation will also invite to participate to two W3C Community Groups responsible for the open communication activities around the two extensions.

UnifiedViews is a joint project currently maintained by Semantic Web Company (SWC) and Semantica.cz (Semantica.cz). It has been mainly developed by Charles University in Prague as a student project called ODCleanStore (version 2). It is based on the experience SWC obtained with the LOD Management Suite (LODMS) used in WP7 and ODCleansStore (version 1) developed by Charles University in Prague for the WP9a use case of the LOD2 FP7 project. In the next stack release of the LOD2 stack, UnifiedViews will replace LODMS as an ETL tool in the stack and the tool has already been adopted in other projects. In the webinar we will give a brief overview of the UnifiedViews project (Helmut Nagy). The main part will be a presentation of the tool and it's capabilities (Tomas Knap)

D2R Server is a tool for publishing relational databases on the Semantic Web. LIMES is an extensible declarative framework that encapsulates manifold algorithms dedicated to the processing of structured data of any sort. Built with extensibility and easy integration in mind, LIMES allows implementing applications that integrate, consume and/or generate Linked Data.
