The document discusses the South Taranaki Principal's Cluster Initiative to promote student learning through unpacking and implementing the SOLO (Structure of the Observed Learning Outcome) Taxonomy across schools. Baseline data found that 8 of 13 schools responded initially, with comments around workshops, school visits, and professional development being useful for implementation. Actions included a school presenting SOLO examples, all staff attending a professional development, and principals visiting schools in Auckland. Implementation levels ranged from unistructural to extended abstract across schools. Concept maps are now being used more and further sharing and surveying is planned going forward.

9. We are largely focused on literacy and numeracy and our involvement in SOLO has been minimal. This does not mean we do not support the initiative, it means we have other priorities at this time.
