Organizational Structure Running A Successful Business
Reducing Energy Losses At Retail Facilities
1.
2.
3.
4. The people Entrance The entrance should be open and welcoming to people and at the same time be closed as much as possible to secure comfortable shopping environment by eliminating draft and energy losses.
5.
6. Automation to secure opening when needed The right automation system will allow smooth flow of people and at the same time limit energy losses.
7. Adaptable set up Automatic entrance doors system set up in the right way allow people to enter smoothly in the retail facility and keep a comfortable shopping environment Inside Automatic Entrance doors To the shop Outside Automatic Entrance doors
8.
9. The Goods Entrance The Goods entrance should be opened only for operational reasons and When it is opened good entrance should have a design that minimise energy losses
10.
11. SECTION Your building seen from the Top If that is not the case you will have to have your dock leveller inside the building You can install a load-house if the distance between building and the fence is more than 2X the length of a truck Load houses are perfect to minimize energy losses but sometimes cannot be installed due to lack of space in front of the bay
14. SECTION Isodock reduce seriously the energy losses. The heat transfer is 50% lower than with a non insulated leveller The Isodock solution insulates the leveller
15. The gap between the dock leveller frame and platform is often leaking
16. EPDM Sealing eliminates draft and reduces energy losses by 12% compared to a leveller without it. Sealing around the leveller
17. Bays with Mechanical shelter with corner seals have 20% less energy losses than bay without shelter Leakage and air flow drive costs An adapted and well maintained dock shelter can save as much as 90% of the energy losses due to the open space between truck and door. On mechanical shelters corner seals should always be installed. Dock Shelters
18. Bays with Inflatable shelter have 20% less energy losses than bay equipped with mechanical shelters Dock Shelters
19. SECTION Dock door An insulated door is a must but Bottom and top sealing have to be in good shape and well adjusted U Value U-values gauge how well a material allows heat to pass through. The U value is depending on the design and thickness of the door. For overhead sectional door with insulated panels this U value is around 1W/m2K and it can go up to 4W/m2K for a glazed door. Maintaining your door will help you secure that the door always insulate as it did when you purchased it.
21. SECTION To limit draft at all time an airlock system based on a combination of a sectional door and a high speed door should be installed Air lock function To minimize energy losses we have developed and delivered air lock system based on a combination of traditional overhead sectional door and a wind resistant high speed door reducing draft during the loading unloading process tremendously. Airlock
23. The door opens only if truck is in position and temperature in truck is as requested Usage: Doors should only be opened for operational reasons Cold air
24. The Passage between warehouse and shop Should be opened only for operational reasons And close as fast as possible to secure a comfortable shopping environment
25.
26. Control & Monitoring Systems gives you real time information and allow you to act as soon as something happens
27. Monitoring Real time -Number of bays connected -Total Number of open doors - Total Number of trucks at bay - Total Number of Unlock doors Monitoring Real time -Facility overview: -Doors -Docking -Trucks -Reservation -Alarm -Locks -Temperature
