  • 12. SOCIAL NETWORKING SOCIAL NETWORKS ARE WEBSITES DESIGNED FOR PEOPLE TO CONNECT WITH OTHER PEOPLE. FACEBOOK IS THE MOST POPULAR SOCIAL NETWORK AT WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY. PUTTING COURSE INFORMATION IN FACEBOOK MEANS STUDENTS WILL INTERACT WITH IT MORE OFTEN.
  • 13. MULTIMEDIA MULTIMEDIA PROJECTS MAKE USE OF THE TECHNOLOGY WAKE FOREST PROVIDES ON STUDENT THINKPADS. CREATING MULTIMEDIA PROJECTS ALLOWS STUDENTS TO HAVE MORE CREATIVE CONTROL OVER THEIR WORK. IN EVALUATIONS, STUDENTS HAVE SAID THEY WERE MORE ENGAGED WITH A VIDEO PROJECT THAN A PAPER.
  • 14. OTHER TOOLS FLICKR IS A PHOTO-SHARING WEBSITE, ENABLING IMAGE- BASED ASSIGNMENTS. CLICKERS ARE A PHYSICAL DEVICE DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGE CLASS PARTICIPATION. SMARTBOARDS ALLOW INSTRUCTORS TO ENGAGE STUDENTS MORE VISUALLY IN LECTURES AND ALLOW THE SAVING OF NOTES TAKEN ON THE BOARD.

  • 17. FEEDBACK: EASE OF USE “I THINK THAT USING PROGRAMS SUCH AS GOOGLE DOCS MAKES ASSIGNMENTS AND PROJECTS EASIER FOR BOTH THE TEACHER AND STUDENT. TEACHERS CAN VIEW ASSIGNMENTS AT ANY TIME AND MAKE COMMENTS OR CORRECTIONS AND STUDENTS CAN VIEW FEEDBACK AND INCORPORATE IT EASILY. “THE BLOGS ARE ALSO USEFUL AS A HOMEPAGE FOR COURSES AS THEY ALLOW ONE CENTRAL PLACE FOR UPDATES, RESPONSES, COURSE SCHEDULING, ETC... AND THEY ARE QUICKLY UPDATED. THEY ARE ALSO EASY FOR THE STUDENTS TO LOCATE AND NAVIGATE.” -KAELEY MCMAHAN
