6. To begin the lesson, the students wrote what
they already knew about insects. Then after
they watched the video, they wrote what they
wanted to know/learn. After they read the
book they wrote something they learned, and
7. How the Lesson Went
I felt the lesson went well. Although the students watched a
video, and got to point out pictures, the students didn’t
really get to use the technology themselves. The school I
was at lacked in technology, so I had limited things
available.
They were able to see insects in action, and see a better
variety of pictures. This wouldn’t have been possible
without technology. The technology used helped them
better understand the concept, and motivated them to
want to read the book.
Technology got the students excited about what they were
going to read. It was quick, showed them how interesting
insects are, and got them interested in learning more
facts about insects.
It would have been better if the school had wireless
internet, so we could have clicked on pictures the students
liked, or explored more.
